I think Diffey did a great job..
Something about Ralph’s voice and volume brings more excitement for me, but very impressed with everything in round 1

Jokes aside, I know why people miss Ralph. He was the voice of SX over many years, even I was getting a special feeling when his voice came up and I'm watching US sx/mx for only 10 years now. But he made so many dumb mistakes specially over the last two years. Diffey brings professionalism on top of being super prepared.

I know it's an american thing to dislike someone with an foreign accent for no reason aswell.

Some Americans make fun of other Americans accents too. Like a north easterner making fun of a southern accent. Americans just dislike each other.

I thought everything was an improvement. Fans would be nice for noise and atmosphere 🙈. RC seems to be improved. I am on the weege train. At least give him a shot. It was time for Ralph to go. Everything ran smoothly on my end. I just wish i could hear the bikes? Even on close shots or the cool camera that would move with them.

It's all over FB people don't like Leigh and I'm just blown away why?! The broadcast is so much better. Literally the only reason can be because he has an Aussie accent. So wait all it takes is an Aussie accent for you to not understand what someone is saying? He's still speaking English not German jesus H

Improvement, yes. Please leave the seven deuce deuce for Ralph's demise. I find it entertaining when a rider makes an error Rickey shouts OHHHH and then has to explain his outburst.

Ralph had a away of brining the excitement level up right when the gate was dropping.... after that the wheels came off. Leigh Diffey is a really good upgrade and brings a more professional analysis. The only thing Leigh maybe lacked was a little more of “Ralph type” excitement to get you pumped up

To be fair it’s pretty fuckin hard to understand you sometimes. I work with a guy who moved here from England about a year ago and dam it’s hard to understand him. It’s not a slight towards your accent. It’s just hard to understand. “Can I have some water please” can sound very different depending on how thick your accent is.

I have just watched the racing and was i the only one kinda missing Ralph? I mean.. RC sounds much better now, but im not stoked on the new guy.. i had a better impression of him last year actually.. well lets give him a couple of more rounds before making judgement.. im just glad we are back racin!!

Will has a terribly difficult voice to understand. Half of what she says is lost on me. Perhaps it is the mask or the sound system but last year and this year it is the same.

Diffy seemed anti-climatic for each start. I feel like Ralph built up the excitement leading up to the 30 sec board a lot better. Although I don’t give a shit about the announcing enough to say he should be fired. I’m more interested in the camera work.

IDK, but I would prefer an announcer that has had some past racing experience. It’s kind of like the female football analysts that try to give a opinion, just doesn’t hold any water....

Mentioned in another thread... Diffey is solid and professional/likeable. ...BUT...some of the excitement is missing without Ralph. Even RC seemed "muted". It all seems so much more "corporate". Things are better with spice....I loved when Dennis Miller was in the booth for NFL.

Speaking of corporate.... Will Christien....she needs to go....there is zero personality there. Damn, I really miss Jenny Taft.
