I was a bit up in the air on Iron City as well, but they do have a race scheduled in February as part of the Motovated series.
Do you think TRMX will keep the night racing in the speedway even if they do away with outdoor track?

Oh yea I would think they keep the night track. They kill it every time they open it up. And they run it often. The outdoor track not so much... you gonna ride the new 101 track this weekend mark? We will need a ride report if so.

Okay so I am skipping that, when I raced vintage there in June I somehow pulled my groin bad enough that I was off the bike for almost 3 months. Sounds stupid I know! I wwantto see someone else's video before I go back.
I've been back on for a few weeks and this weekend I'm going to try out Oak & Harrow in Edgefield for the first time.
BTW if you get a chance to go to Revolution it is freaking great. I have vid from it on my YouTube. Around 2 minute laps, varying soil, good jumps but nothing psycho. Teasdale and Root were using it some this summer if that tells you anything, but it was also fun as a vet. I hope they get some races going.
Yea I’ve seen a few videos. It looks really sick. Really need to make it out. Was actually just in union last weekend at the full gas sprint enduro. That place is about an hour from me so it’s not bad at all. And that new 101 looks like they dozed 80 percent of it and started from scratch. I’m really hoping to go Sunday and check it out. Hopefully it’s good. I’m not too big of a fan of the travelers rest outdoor track so I’m hoping it’s not like that (steep jump faces, small landings, peaky landings, etc). (Same people built both tracks)

Sunset Ridge
Lincoln Trail
Mount Carrol
Byron
Megatraxx (indoor)
Fox Valley
Rocky Glen
Chandlerville
Galesburg
Coal Valley

Lake County

Wardy????? What have i missed????

I think it's a great scene and the tracks are plentiful in our area. Shit......i rode twice a week since March this year and can't get enough.

Within 2 hours of chicago but not in Illinois we have a shit ton of tracks in Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Motoland and Redbud are among these.
Splinter Creek
Bellville Enduro Riders
South Fork
Archview
there are a few more way south I don't know the names or if they are still open
like Euro

yes there are a ton of tracks here it's why it's got a bullseye on it by the national promoter to harvest all the riders possible.

there are like 5-6 tracks in the last 5-8 years that went away so it's not as dense as it once was, but still a bunch of tracks and real quality ones in the list as well.

“He got small really quick!!” Lol also mentioned that bob brought his own suspension over with him and put it on a Rm250 he borrowed from the arctic cat - Suzuki shop. It was the year he was coming back from the knee injury

I hear the track itself got a major facelift this past year also

There might be a couple more and we also have one of the best trail riding systems anywhere.

Yeah Mi. Trail system is awesome. Wi. Riders where always jealous, we wanted ours. District 16 is Wi. And The Up in Mi. Most of the tracks are in Wi. There was 3 ski hill race tracks, hard to beat a ski hill track. The Mi. Up tracks are Crystal Falls a hilly awesome sand track, added a frinight track. Houghton was sand, they dug down and found copper. They made plaques out of it. Different soil now on the track. Christmas is a sand track. Republic track is gone, it raced money for a fire department. In wi. Denmark 1969 to 2011. Most spectators of the tracks, natural amphitheater, step ups on all the hills. Sugar Camp was a awesome sand track, gone. There is quite a few tracks yet. Wisconsin Rapids is a old school deep sand track, few miles of trails, with a hill climb. W Wi. Has great track too, most are sand. Cmj is sand set in a valley, 200 yard up hill whoops, 50.00 annual membership free camping, trail loop also. Very beautiful area.

Yeah my dad was there when Hannah was there. He raced at Kincaid from the mid 70s all the way up until about 2010 or so. My dad may even know your dad! It's a small world up here, even smaller within the motocross community.

Yeah Kincaid is better than it was for sure. i drool over the tracks you guys have down in the Lower 48 though

From what I have gathered there are six tracks within an hour of my part of metro KC.

Adrenaline MX
Midwest Extreme Park
Kingsville MX
Dragoon Creek
Knobby Hill
Grain Valley MX (Benny Bloss' dad is owner or part owner I believe)
Wyandotte MX (it's been closed all year due to covid I think)

On the Kansas side we also have....

Jeeps in Wichita
Bar2Bar in Wichita
Inman MX in Inman
Heartland Park in Topeka
Green Acres in Marion (I think this closed but not sure. Had my first race there 26 years ago. I left my choke on in moto 1. It didn't go well.)
Platter Hill in Winfield

Those are the proper MX tracks that I know of that have races. There are numerous other public riding areas in the state. Mainly around the lakes.

Not sure what all is on the Missouri side outside of the few in the metro area.
A lot of those were places I rode growing up in De Soto, KS. My favorite was Agency MX in Missouri. We went to race one day and Brian Deegan showed up in box van and railed the track. It was way before the Metal Mulisha days. That track is long gone.

Kingsville was the go to for us, went to Midwest a few times and Dragoon once. If my mind serves correctly, Dragoon is on the Kansas side and was owned by Robbie Skaggs family. There was also a hare scramble track by Topeka that had a vintage bike shop on the property. I can't recall the name.

Wyandotte County did have a AX race at the county fair every year. Never heard of any tracks there though.

I grew up 30 minutes from that track. It's one of my favorites still. Not sure how much you ride up here, but there are some hidden gems here for sure.

In my opinion best tracks in the state that are worth driving some distance for are:
High Voltage
Area 51
Palmyra aka Hogback Hill
Walden
The Compound
Pavilion
Hit and miss : Jack's Racing. When it's good it's really good, when it's bad it's really bad.

Live in Iowa. Many of the tracks are a bit more seasonal and try to take advantage of the moisture in the Iowa spring (although usually plagued with cold/frosty mornings and numerous rain outs). Others are open every weekend.

In order as how much I frequent them, I'm just a practice hero now adays:

1. Sandycorners Mx (P)
2. Woodland Mx (P)
3. Cattle Congress/74 Promotions (P&R)
4. Oak Ridge Mx (P&R)
5. Winterset/Riverside Raceway (P&R)
6. Hawkeye Downs (P&R)
7. Mason City Mx (?)(P)
8. Believe we have one or two new tracks down in southern Iowa? I'm out of the loop on those.

Various OHV parks (Cedarfalls/Waterloo & Fort Dodge come to mind), fair tracks, and some killer private tracks. Some of the more private tracks open up to the public a time or two a year or will put on small ride days.

One track/facility, DPMX Tracks and & Training, is relatively new so I didn't put it on the list but they did free prepped practices during the summer months for those prepping for LL or the pro nationals. That's pretty cool!

Have some pretty good tracks on the borders of Iowa that wouldn't be too bad of a trip if you live on that side of the state. Millville, Meadow Valley, MC Motopark, Sunset Ridge, Byron Mx, and Muddywaters are not a terrible drive if you like on the E/NE side of Iowa.
No more Keokuk?

Tennessee and only 4 I can think of
R3 Motoworx
Indian Mound
Fast Farms
WMMX

2 in KY within 2 hours and 2 in AL 3 hours away. Kinda sucks there isn’t many options
Add I-81, Muddy Creek, and Thunder Valley MX. I'm sure there's a lot around Nashville, too.

Kentucky: Daniel Boone MX, Soggy Bottom, South Fork Motoplex, Saddleback East, Nickota Park, Greenup County Offroad Park, I-64 MX, MOB Compound, Russell Creek, Dunn's Playground and probably a handful I don't know in Western KY. I've seen a few others come and go within the past year or two.

This is probably the best resource on the net. If you have tracks not listed email them details and photo's and they'll add them.

https://www.riderplanet-usa.com/
Woohoo this https://www.riderplanet-usa.com site is awesome! Pick your state and click the map! you can zoom in and see the tracks! Did look at a couple that did not show

Map showed that there is a track (verified on map) that is 1 mile from the RV park where we are already staying at for Christmas!

I rode at Agency plenty back in the day. I recently stopped by and walked around. I have permission to actually take a bike up and play around. Most of the layout is still there.
