Appreciate it man! Looks like muddy creek is closed until Feb7.. I81 on the way to Durhamtown is looking like a solid plan tho.

I enjoyed the non-photo hound perspective. A new point of view from a photographer new to a sport. Bonus points for black and white. Sublime. Rex Backman

This sort of came out of nowhere! And it's a positive piece as well. The photographer (Rebecca Soderholm) has an amazing eye for the little details of off-road racing, which she calls "pastoral yet hardscrabble landscapes." Very well done! DC Racer X

That I'm not sure about. Might throw them a message on Facebook and ask. https://www.facebook.com/danielboone.motocrosspark I think DBMX is usually just open on Saturday and Sunday but won't hurt to ask https://www.facebook.com/I81MotorsportsPark I-81 announced in October they're open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. https://www.facebook.com/muddycreekraceway Muddy Creek had a practice day scheduled for this passed weekend but cancelled, quite a...

Huge bummer to see it go, those were by far the most fun events I've participated in. I was able to make it to three events in two seasons and they all had people waiting on standby in case of no-shows. They capped the number of entrants but I think that was for sure by design, and in my opinion...

Ohhh man, that’s crappy news. Loved this series. Hopefully somebody else pics it up, The Hidden Valley golf course here in WV was probably their biggest turnout, and super fun. You can still ride the tracks there in the warmer months. They have a mx track and the off-road tracks. They have races occasionally too, https://www.facebook.com/Hidden-Valley-Mud-Bog-XC-MX-519497004888772/

As far as Kentucky goes, I hate to say it but there ain't much. Daniel Boone Motocross is pretty convenient off of I-75 and occasionally do prepped practice on Sunday, worth hitting on your way back north from east Tennessee. South Fork Motoplex would be a solid stop when heading back north from the Nashville area and somewhat close to...

RideMoonshine Added a reply to Mid-South Area: Places to ride

12/4/2020 2:02pm
Mid-South Cross Country is right in the middle of its season now and is mostly in western KY, middle Tennessee. Their last race was at Miller Creek in Pontotoc MS that they've mentioned above. CXC Racing is another scramble series that's in that area of Tennessee with a random round in WKY. Might check their schedules and see if some...

With access to some fresh woods I was given the chance to cut in some fresh single track. I've definitely done trail work before, but never planned out a trail system. What are your tips ands tricks? Here's the fruit of my labor: https://youtu.be/NFzU4LdNUT0

A film that celebrates the lives of those whose worlds simply revolve around stepping out of their comfort zone, having no boundaries and redefining what’s possible on two wheels. This film is dedicated to them — the visionaries, the indefatigable, the ones who never say die, and the ones who live a life consecrated to searching for perfection of their craft. Sit back, get stoked and enjoy our journey into the diverse minds of six of the sports elite. Dropping on all major platforms on 12/8/20. Starring: Dylan Ferrandis, Kailub Russell, Weston Peick, Carson Mumford, Billy Bolt, and Bradley Slums.

RideMoonshine Added a reply to MTB marketing for MOTO?

11/13/2020 11:41am
I think that the crossover brands (TLD, Fox, Fly, Renthal, Maxxis, etc.) can definitely work both angles more than they do. I also think Moto can learn a lot from how MTB markets to its actual core riders through lifestyle videos, adventure epics, and just general fun and good times type of content (Moto XXX and Crusty were basically just...

Finally, something I can comment on with a little bit of expertise Wink I have raced mountain bikes forever, worked in the industry off and on and even was a product tester for Vital's mountain bike site. To this day I still have many friends who work within the industry on the marketing side, engineering side and a straggling few who continue to race professionally (even though we're in or mid-late 30s). I picked up my first moto in 2018 and am completely hooked. Prior to this I had 3 seasons of riding mountain sleds which actually helped more than...

That is literally impossible. Here there are many OHV riding areas that are on government land. So, how do you keep government out of that. You also have a very powerful lobbying group trying to shut down these areas? Again, how do you keep government out of it? If those lobbying to shut down the riding areas had no opposition to tell the riders side of the story don't you think the government would shut it all down. You have to have someone lobbying against them. I know what you are saying and god knows it would be great if...

Racer X Virtual Trainer (racerxvt.com) has a whole section for off-road. I used to do the paid service and it had an option for off-road, too. Definitely worth a look
Add I-81, Muddy Creek, and Thunder Valley MX. I'm sure there's a lot around Nashville, too. Kentucky: Daniel Boone MX, Soggy Bottom, South Fork Motoplex, Saddleback East, Nickota Park, Greenup County Offroad Park, I-64 MX, MOB Compound, Russell Creek, Dunn's Playground and probably a handful I don't know in Western KY. I've seen a few others come and go within...

Spent my 30th at Glen Helen today getting the bike dialed in for Saturday with my dad and some friends! Track was pretty gnarly! I haven’t ridden a weekday at Glen Helen in almost 10 years and man was it fun to ride a track that rough again! There were some damn fast guys there today! Lawrence brothers, Mumford, Star Yamaha, ML512, Dillion Schwartz, Josh Grant, Mike Alesia, Robbie Wageman and many more! Cheers to 30!
