I moved to SC last year and have been pleasantly surprised with moto opportunities here. We have 19 operational tracks in total. I define operational as "designed and maintained as a motocross track and open on a regular basis for prepped/organized practices or race events." So that wicked private backyard track or off road riding area doesn't count for the purpose of this list.

How does your state look? If anyone feels like doing math we could even calculate "tracks per million residents" or "tracks per square mile" to compare which states have the most options.

Our current lineup, the ones with R in parentheses hold races:
Battery Park Offroad Park- Nesmith
CGI Facility - Edgefield
ClubMX Chesterfield
DNA Motorsports Complex (R)
GTR Complex- Gaston (R)
Iron City Mx- Blacksburg (R)
Myrtle Beach ATV & MX Park - Loris
Nxt LVL 101 (formerly MotoVated 101, now run by Traveler's Rest MX )- Gray's Court (R)
Oak & Harrow - Edgefield
Oxtown MX - Scranton
Paradise MX- Fairfield
Pine Grove MX - Westminster
Pineville MX Park - Pineville
Revolution MX Park - Union
The Shoals MX - Donalds (Steward Baylor's facility)
SOBMX Park. - Hamer (R)
Strawberry Hill Motocross Raceway- Fountain Inn (Oldest track still operating - opened 1974!)
Travelers Rest Mx- Traveler's Rest (R)
Turkey Creek - Edgefield (R) (Races promoted by Moto-Vated Sports)

Oak & Harrow ? You sure that’s not a British Pub ? Bloody ‘ell ! I’m guessing Ohio has 10-15 tracks that hold races.... probably 25 that hold practices and 172 private circuits.... ( I’m guessing !!!)

MAN that is a lot of tracks -- and those are all active? Is it a complete crap show in the summer with the shorter season and races scheduling on top of each other?

You can pick and choose where you want to ride/race any given week. Lots of contingency races. Maybe 12 or so a summer. We live near Columbus and within a hour drive you can ride Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 3 or 4 prepped practice tracks any given week. Good hard working track owners and good people!

Rhode Island. ZERO. Though I hear there is a riding area in one end of the state. We have a world trials hosting area but trials bikes only. Had a National MX in the 70s. That track is long gone.

I know the Golden Pines owner Jim Anderson from when I lived in Washington state, he was a national rider back in the 80s. He can still throw down pretty good!

I remember when Racer X did that thing where they listed, state by state, the top racers from within, they never did get to some of the states I was curious about: Delaware, Vermont, the Dakotas.....

All have had events this year - race or open practice.

District 11 and District 12 used to split the state in half.

North and South do not mix much other than the state championships.

Jim and his wife have had a rough go getting things going. Equipment stolen, buildings broken in to and lost everything. But they kept pushing through and man it has been worth it. Track is just as epic as always and they are having really nice turnouts every time the gates open. Good people, they have become instant family down here

Mx acres in freedonia pa. And Add pymatuning holeshot raceway to PA roster, honestly it’s so close to Ohio could lump it there too. With covid the races there were booming. A lot of people showing up. Pymatuning is to ohio/pa motocross like Paris is in California. a lot of Brandons first racers too. But it’s a place that has gate drops!

Also there’s a flurry of underground mx invite only places. Underground scene is hitting harder these days. Great Small track builders out here.

From what I have gathered there are six tracks within an hour of my part of metro KC.

Adrenaline MX
Midwest Extreme Park
Kingsville MX
Dragoon Creek
Knobby Hill
Grain Valley MX (Benny Bloss' dad is owner or part owner I believe)
Wyandotte MX (it's been closed all year due to covid I think)

On the Kansas side we also have....

Jeeps in Wichita
Bar2Bar in Wichita
Inman MX in Inman
Heartland Park in Topeka
Green Acres in Marion (I think this closed but not sure. Had my first race there 26 years ago. I left my choke on in moto 1. It didn't go well.)
Platter Hill in Winfield

Those are the proper MX tracks that I know of that have races. There are numerous other public riding areas in the state. Mainly around the lakes.

Not sure what all is on the Missouri side outside of the few in the metro area.
