Are they any benefit to a 21 or a waste? I think I read somewhere that they are just very very slightly narrower. With having holes in the airbox I can't imagine the cycra shrouds are going to push in much more air than it will already take having those holes.

I got to ride a new 2021 YZ250F last week. I liked the bars in the forward position (I am 6'2" and 190 lbs) - opened up the rider triangle. Easy enough to move them back.

How does the 21 YZ250F work? For me the engine is noticeably stronger everywhere (especially up top) with a free and quick revving feel and 250F class leading partial throttle torque feel, suspension is firmer with less chassis pitch and a more controlled setting, the shrouds still feel wide sitting on the bike but not so noticeable while riding, and it still makes lots of noise from the intake and exhaust.

MXA said it was more aggressive down low and was hard to keep it from wheelying out of turns. Plus MXA said you had to shift a lot to control it, whereas the others seemed to say that you could use the gears longer and run them up. Not a big deal, but just some things that I thought were odd, when reading the tests. Either way, I'm sure it's a great bike and would be my choice if I were in the market for a new 250F.

The 20 had so much low-end that it just wanted to wheelie out, while 21 is smoother and did not wheelie, it stayed put. And Swapmoto's test said something similar to Ping.
