Looks like a 2wd setup with the 18" front wheel and chains. Steering maybe done by tilting the rim more up to down than left to right.


The only purpose the A-arm serves is as the world's most complicated chain tensioner -- keeping the chain length the same, even as the fork compresses.
Moving the brake to a drive idler near the rider's body parts is certainly a terrifying-looking choice. I am sure the drive system on the other side of the bike is equally terrifying

True, it was a Savard 2 x 2. A few brands have tried the concept, and I was curious myself, but from what I heard from a top rider is the 2 wheels drive were feeling a bit weird, it could be sketchy and the front was feeling heavy & tiring. I would love to try one just to see how it handles.

I liked mine. And there are plenty of people that did. It was a simple layout, and easy enough to modify however you wanted. And fast enough to get holeshots against the mighty CR500 and KX500s.
