A man on a MX bike is a beast if after 25 minutes or so into a moto he can set fastest laps and pummel ex world champions by 3 and 4 seconds a time doing it.
The years he was killing it in 250s he rode like Pourcel, super wide, super inside, creative shit.
Yeah there may be low days and he may frustrate the hell out of you sometimes, but watching him go ballistic when he’s on makes it all worth while.
That’s racing; pain and passion!
good to see, hope he can win a couple more before the season is over

Plessinger hasnt made it through a year yet so at this point in time Barcia is paying off better. In 3 years time who knows but in a bubble right now there's no comparison.
Red Rocker in 2021
He is one of group of riders that has always shown the promise of more, but never consistently delivered it.
He cant develop a bike because the way he rides precludes any sensible way forward, it looks like Travis Preston, and RV have at least turned the job round, Tickle has been solid on the bike coming into his first outdoor season is ages, which tells me the package isnt far off.
Interestingly, Chad Reed alluded to Yamaha being a shit fight , personnel wise and said it looked like they were cleaning house, so as you say , he might be 'a contender', but he has had enough rolls of the dice , to be cut loose, especially as Ferrandis, who is on fire, and on the market , and on the roster already , is the other option.
With it looking like its going to Star, i dont see them running a 3 rider 450 team, and i wouldnt want to be the guy to decide to pass on the guy that might have 3 championships under his belt, come the end of the season , for a guy that won his last title in 2012 , and has been a 'couldawoulda' type of guy ever since.
He is a top rider , no doubt, but eventually, the job moves on, and he has to too.
If he gets the Gas Gas gig, fair play and its not undeserved,, and its good enough to show what he has always been capable of .
