Tomac 4 secs off AC on the same bike....and two Suszukis in front of him.

Coming off the high of winning the SX to being 40 points down now must be a blow to the confidence. He definitely looks to be struggling.

Maybe he comes out swinging in the motos to claw them points back.

Any thoughts on Deano?

I know the tough road he has had with many injuries, teams, bikes and him just trying to build himself back up but he is a former 250 national champ so I've been hoping for a long time he could be battling in the top 5 more often. Let's hope this weekend for him.

Top guy has 2 bad qualifying sessions and people are not supposed to talk about it?

Edit: It's not like he qualified 5th. Out of the top 10 in both sessions.

Tomac 13th ! This class only goes about 13 quality riders deep especially with Webb and Kenny out. He's in there with the fast privateers now. Something is off. Top 5 today

Maybe Tomac is tired of playing catch up so much and with a 9 round series and being 40 points down, he’s just not going to sweat it this year. Or perhaps he knows something about Ironman’s start straight and a 12th or 13th gate pick won’t really make that much of a difference to him. He could still get a start and lay waste to the field. We’ll find out soon enough.

I don't think anyone said it was a mental thing. Just speculating that it might be.

Part of wondering why he had not 1, but 2 bad qualifying sessions.

He's just easing into the day. The real work begins half-way through moto 1 as he works into the top 5 then reels in the guys in front. Maybe a 2-1 finish today.

DNF in a shortened series kinda puts a damper on your motivation I'd imagine. Doesn't mean he won't come out swinging when the gate drops though.
