Do you know if you can even buy them now? I know there is a link to email, just figured I'd ask.
In the link, sadly, it said that Dave miller passed away, and that's who they were making the masks for, so I could see them not making anymore.
We can still get them. Just heard back from Jimmy Mac and Curt today. No minimum order. Curt is handling the orders curtnotcurtisevans@gmail.com

"Thanks so much for your interest in the Scott Face Mask and helping out Dave Miller’s family.

We didn’t think the response would be so great after our initial run of over 400 masks allowed us to donate over $3,500 to help his family! (Unfortunately, Dave lost his battle with cancer on May 22, but his family still needs our help, so we are not stopping our efforts to lessen their burden).

The masks are $20 each for anywhere in the USA. (Sorry, not foreign orders at this time). This includes freight, and sent through US Mail.

You can PayPal the money to curtnotcurtisevans@gmail.com

If you prefer to send a check the address is PO Box 1243, Ashland OR 97520

The masks are back in stock and ready to ship.

Also, if you feel it in your heart, the Miller Family has a GoFundMe page. The masks are not available there, but if you want to donate directly, that would be great.

Again, thanks so much. Moto people are the best!

Curt Evans & Jimmy Mac"

Saw a sign that said "Moto themed masks" at Elsinore awhile back. I was a little disappointed, I was hoping for different bike logos or something. This is what I got

So I flipped it over and gave the white side the magic marker treatment, now that's Moto ! Laughing

Didn’t realize this would bring so many people in to this thread with useless posts. I started this thread about mask. Not anyone’s options on masks. The city I live outside of requires them. If I want groceries got to have a mask. If I need oil gotta wear a mask. Gas station I gotta wear a mask. My wife is a school teacher. She rides. We start school in a week here and she has to wear a mask. All you tough guys not wearing mask props to y’all.Yournthe main reason people can’t go back to a normal life because y’all are to macho and bad ass for them. Something my old man told me when I first started riding was your not going faster unless you crash. So once y’all start riding at a pace better than d class y’all may get hurt and take a trip to the hospital and guess what. You’ll have to wear a mask.
Has nothing to do with being a tough guy. It has to do with looking at the real numbers and not being a sheep. It is way overblown and my prediction is by Christmas right after the election Covid is going to suddenly disappear the same way it did when people wanted to go protest nonsense.

What I hate about all these masks is they hook around the ears. I already have hearing aids and glasses. There's no more room on my ears unless I install studs in my head.

I like the kind that go over the back of the neck and over the top of the head.

But what I use, since I don't work in the public and don't have to wear one except in town, is a pull face mask with teeth.
Sew buttons just behind the brim on a baseball cap and hook the loops on the buttons.

There's no way I will wear one riding.. I already ride at altitude with a lack of oxygen, this is going to make people pass out IMO. I wear one in the pits, but on the track, no way! Hope this thread doesn't get political, but the mask mandate doesn't work for most athlete situations where oxygen is a big factor in your safety to perform 100%. N95 does not protect others but might be the best choice as it allows you to exhale the CO2 and look compliant, but most places are cracking done on these as well as they don't filter out the air going out. Athletes are making them on https://www.etsy.com/ and posting for sale.
I think you may be mistaken on the n95. The n95s with an exhaust valve are what you are referring to. The standard n95 provides those around you with the same protection as any other surgical mask.

Wait a minute, you are wearing a mask while riding your dirt bike ??

I hope not, some people are getting really carried away with this whole mask thing.
I wear an N95 mask while riding. I have for the last 5 years. It has nothing to do with Covid.
I have been wearing one of the deluxe models that has a one way valve (a reed valve haha) when breathing out.
I found that without it, the day after riding I'd feel very tired all day, like my body had to filter out all the exhaust I breathed the day before while riding. Once I started wearing the mask, the next day I feel great!

But, since Covid-19, I cannot find N95 masks anywhere, so I started folding a bandana and wearing that instead, and it's easier to breath while riding, and I still don't get the exhaust hangover the next day.

Neither the bandana or the N95 mask filter out all of the exhaust and dirt, but what they do filter out makes a difference the next day.

Crazy? Maybe, but I don't care. It works, and it's worth it.
The bandana works well enough that I'll probably never go back to the N95 mask.
Try it, you'll like it!

I can’t argue it being a political scheme. It might be but it has 45 of the 48 available ventilators at my nearest hospital in use. When I run to town they have enforced mask. $500 dollar fine. Will they enforce it I don’t know but I can buy a decent amount of moto stuff with $500. Also my father in law which is my dads best friend and riding buddy since the 70’s just had a organ transplant. I can’t risk getting him sick. I wear a mask in public not because I’m scared of this crap but I don’t want to get the older people I care about sick. It’s way overblown? Do you work in the medical field? Do you have any stats to go along with that statement. I believe this issue is people are going overboard about it and the other half think it’s fake. It has only got worse in my area.

I'll buy, too.

Whether or not I agree, or disagree with what you say on a post, I appreciate the fact you and other industry folks post on here. It's nice to get a little look on the inside.

This guy right here. . . is telling the damn truth!!!

You guys/racers/prowannabes have run off more 'true' pros and insiders than you can imagine. . .

Just because they don't say "JS7" "Andy Jefferson", "Brian Myerscough" (sic), and others doesn't mean they
haven't given input. Many Factory mechanics have been on here and told they are idiots. . .,can't believe it ?

I has happened. . .over and over and over again.

I've been here a long time. . been on many boards long before this one. . .

All you know it alls and "I'm never buying x-product again, "you are stupid, no mechanic does that" have literally
crippled your "insider" information.

You have forced the true " insiders" to form their own board, and there they can share information freely. . with out idiot opinions.

Sad but true. . . so just keep that in mind. .

this is the truth.

What up Slippy?

I'm pretty sure you have experienced the "know-it-alls"

"Who are you anyway?" "How do you know anything/"

Am I right?

As long as it prevents someone from hacking their germs all over me then I’m happy Cool
526 wrote:

masks prevent you from spewing your germs in the air for others to breathe. thats how they work. they do offer some light protection from germs already in the air, but they mostly are worn to protect others from the person wearing.

that's why surgeons wear masks in the OR it's not to protect them from you, it's actually the other way around.

I don't wear my mask while riding (or skating), but have it on any time I'm around people whether in stores or outdoors if there's a crowd.

The sooner everyone realizes that we have the power to limit spread of this fucked up disease (which has already killed over 151,000 Americans) the sooner we'll be able to return to our normal, non-mask lives.

Gonna be hard to do much.

Food will be hard to shop for...Publix, Winn-Dixie and Walmart all require a mask to enter
So does Home depot and Lowes
So does Office Depot/Staples
So does every restaurant, and bars are closed in FL
