Just to get back to the how old my 2019 is..... The brainiac Bobpa was trying to make a point that I dont ride my bike by using the denominator of it was three yrs old with 13hrs. I bought the bike in April of 19 that makes it 15mo old to me. Yes 3 full model years old . Shit!! Glad we got that all strait LMAO!!

BTW you haters I dont understand and mostly it the pumpkin owners and the white pumpkin peeps. Is it you paid 10K plus tax for a stock bike? And still got beat buy a 6K yellow kick start bike that "hasn't been updated in 10 yrs" Even knowing it was a all new bike in 2018! 99% of us on here cant ride a new 450 to its potential anyway. I also wonder how many of the haters actually line up behind a gate on a 450???? BC as a 54yr old moto guy that has been doing it for 40 plus yr. I actually learned to NOT to talk smack 21yrs ago as a mini beg on a 79 YZ80 when I got my ass kicked by a kid on a 76 XR75. If you line up behind a gate you have my respect no matter the bike, the gear, or how you got there! A true moto guy has had his ass handed to him more than once and is humbled! My guess the hater crap talkers are key board warriors and trail riders (nothing wrong with that BTW) In closing I want to list the reasons I ride a Zook.
1.I love the way they handle! Especially after I have the suspension done for me and my pref.
2.I like how they make smooth power with great torque
3. They respond to modifications very well and that makes them a great platform as a blank canvas.
4. they fit me good 6'2"
5.I have been on them since 05 (I have had them all and nothing bad to say about any of them)I know them like the back of my hand I know ALL the tricks.
6. Price. Usually can buy one 3K back of all the other brands Leaves plenty for personalization!!!

LMAO Hit the wrong key! 41 yrs ago in 1979 I think you know what I meant though.

I'm just curious where you guys are getting these prices from? I understand the RMZ is cheaper then the other brands, but if you put effort forward the deals are out there. If you're telling me that an RMZ is 6k, I'd gladly spend the extra $1500 to get a bike with far superior build quality.

I bought a brand new 17 ktm 450sx for 7499
Recently purchased brand new 20 350xcf for 7999

NOTE: neither of these were leftovers

You will not find other bikes of the same model year for the price of a RMZ. I recently had been getting prices on '20 KX and RMZ 450s. Kawasaki's can usually be had less than the other brands as well and the difference in price was over $1200 between the two everywhere I looked. And to your comment about "build quality", you'll be throwing your $1500 out the window if that's what you're after. "Build quality" of a Suzuki is excellent.

LOL well lets not forget about the chunk of change needed to get these bikes on the same OEM level.... Even if the build quality was on par with that of KTM or other brands. What about the resale value? It's not even a close comparison.

The only suzuki with good resale value is the ole smokey two stroke.
Lets take a look at that 2020 Zook 450 what brings it on par with a STOCK ride of another color

Rear shock issue: A rear link 180.00 that settles the shock and allows proper sag.
a slip on can...........................350.00 or full exhaust 650.00 picks up a couple HP and a lil more hit and rev.

So Bike 6000.00
mods......830.00
Total.......6830.00
Spring for a HC piston....400.00 brings you to 7230.00 for a well built reliable ON PAR 450
Lets say you spend 800-1000.00 getting the suspension revalved and or resprung your at 8K to 8200 for a bike that is set up to a STOCK other color at 8-10K Again if you are denying the value for the average 450 rider then your beyond help.Again what is your goal 99% cant ride them stock to there potential or anywhere close. JS

ALL that said its your $$$ buy what you like. I have friends that ride pumpkins,Huskys,Hondas and Kawis They bought them for a reason Shop support,How the bike feels in there hands, Owner loyalty whatever reason. Like I have said if your a hater of any brand then your not a true racer. Or you just a douche.
Haters going to hate!

Thanks for the number crunch. It's been implied numerous times in this thread that other brands are far more expensive that the super fast super cool SuZuKi!

I'm trying to point out that this is in fact not true. And you just proved it.

Also why would you want to go buy a brand new bike that needs work off the showroom floor?

At no point have I ever claimed that my riding skills exceed the super fast super cool yellow streak! But that argument is ludicrous. Do you drive something faster then a damn Toyota corolla? Cause 99.99999% of daily driving vehicles aren"t as you suzuki bros like to say "fully utilized". Yet who in their damn mind wants a Toyota corolla, if say a Lamborghini is a few measly dollars extra.

I have nothing to add to this mess except I think if you google the best selling car of all time I believe its the Toyota Corolla.

You can take suspension off of the list because that is something needed on most bikes. Not because it sucks, but because it needs to be setup for the rider.

To counter RoostBuckets, I can pick up a stock RMZ for $6000 which is already capable of hanging with other bikes and get it completely setup for me for less than buying any other bike off the showroom floor. The only other bike that you could come close to doing the same would be the KX, but you still won't get that for the same price as the RMZ.

Sounds like the Suzuki isn't for you. You should start a KTM thread. What exactly does the RMZ need to be on the level of a KTM? You're not going to put on a hydraulic clutch or E-start. Engine doesn't have enough power for you? I highly doubt it. You think the shock isn't good enough for you? Highly doubt it, but the fork on the KTM isn't great either. It's also an air fork which people have been crying about for 7 years. Too heavy for you? Get a lift stand. Weight is second to handling. You can pay over $10,000 for your KTM and maybe sell it for $7,000 after a couple years or you can get a RMZ OTD for $7,000 and sell it for $5,000 a couple years later. You're obviously can't see the value of owning a RMZ. Suzuki's are solid as a rock BTW. Can't say I've seen the same from KTM.

Spoke to an ex suzuki team mechanic today and his comments were.. the suzuki bikes are a great option for 99 percent of people. The only concern for the elite level, from a disadvantage standpoint compared to the elite competition was the weight and engine characteristics. He said they were reliable, and a well built machine.
I agree with your statement. I would own a suzuki if it had electric state. I personally don't want to kick a bike anymore.

Resale on Suzukis suck. No way you're selling one thats a few years old for 5k. It's a bogus stigma the brand has but it exists.

I love how you guys made an obvious troll thread into 5 pages of a yellow circle jerk. When you applaud a guy for getting a mid pack start....you know your standards are low. Not too mention the bro with over $10k into his 3 year old bike....with 13 hours on it...Please prove to me how it is better than any other stock bike...and how would you know? 5 hours a year will tell you very little about how a bike performs...

PS: Most of the guys kickstart their bikes in a dead engine start race...it is usually quicker.

Guessing you live under a bridge Smile
I am well aware....kinda part of the joke. A lot of guys will also hit the start button mid way through their kick stroke.

Ktm guys:

"Its EuRoPeaN and 11000 and RaCe ReAdY Your 6000 Suzuki sucks"

Actuality, owning both:

Hydro clutch?. Meh.
Fork? worst I've ever ridden.
Build quality? Wood screws into plastic.
Engineering? Stock tire rubs rear fender when bottomed.

Chassis and motor feel very, very similar. DeCoster-esque in fact....

I like both. Both are fucking sweet dirtbikes. One is just incredibly overpriced. Or one underpriced.

A buddy of mine passed me twice on his Suzuki in one Moto, not too long ago. We had a battle. His bike sounded beefy

I like Suzuki's. I ride KTM.

So take your Mazda rotary loving ass to your nearest depressed shit hole town, bypass your heroin dealer and your angry, angry best friends and discuss nitty gritty prices without window shopping for once, you poverty stricken neanderthal fuck.

Really? I did not know that.

According to the math in here, KTM guys pay $1K OVER retail.....and Suzuki guys pay $3k UNDER retail. So, I guess you yellow bellies really are the smart ones.

This thread has made my week BTW....

Can you not read the part where I said I picked up a brand new ktm 450 for $7499 our the door?? Cause I said it. clear as day.

Please tell me where in California I can pick up a brand new rmz450 for $6000.

I will drive down this weekend and pay in cash.

Ktm guys:

"Its EuRoPeaN and 11000 and RaCe ReAdY Your 6000 Suzuki sucks"

Actuality, owning both:

Hydro clutch?. Meh.
Fork? worst I've ever ridden.
Build quality? Wood screws into plastic.
Engineering? Stock tire rubs rear fender when bottomed.

Chassis and motor feel very, very similar. DeCoster-esque in fact....

I like both. Both are fucking sweet dirtbikes. One is just incredibly overpriced. Or one underpriced.

Good for you. It's not 2017 anymore Dorothy. I'm talking current inflated Covid 19 pricing. Please show me where anyone is getting a KTM 450 for $7500 OTD. It's not happening.

$6499 at Simi Valley Cycles. A few months ago they were at $5999.
