That’s great. A team owner micromanaging his employees. I have a feeling it’s not a great atmosphere around that rig and behind closed doors. Shane has never been one to act the way he did towards the end of the season. The games, trash talk, etc. I feel like someone Behind the scenes was really pressuring him to be someone he’s not. in the end the focus was not on improving himself as a racer and winning a championship, but getting drawn into the drama. I almost feel like the team was directly responsible for loosing that one. Shane’s speed was clearly not there and he seemed “distracted” on the track once the games started. Just IMO.

It was fascinating to watch Star clearly shift their focus to the trash talk/ taunting mindset in the last two rounds. As soon as that shift happened it was over.

I saw you got lots of likes for that comment but I disagree;
it was the final round with the title on the line, and it is a non dirty trick, a bit of of mind game that is fully allowed as the first rider has the right to take any grid he wants. I prefer to see that than cross jumping or dangerous take outs. It stays clean, well maybe because Sexton also checked out Wink

Actually it isn’t his spot to pick any gate after the site lap. Once you pick a gate that the gate you get. The same would be for a red flag full restart. It’s a rule .Normally the mechanic would be there holding the gate for their rider but since they weren’t allowed they gave them flags with their numbers to mark their gate.

Indeed the Jeremy Martin thing didn't went well. Very toxic, the team can learn some tricks from Roger but also from Mitch, but then again they are no saints either. Learning from your past is the most important thing we can do.

Well of course no one is going to turn down a factory supported ride - unless they have one already. And most would give their first born to ride a Star 250F. Just saying they seem to take the low road when they could've taken the high. They did win one coast, not like they were skunked on the year. Why stoop to this level of petiness? And from a couple post above, doesn't seem like they have the best atmosphere around, I can't imagine JMart, midwestern upbringing is that hard to be around that he would regulate himself to a EZ-up....Anyhow, no I wouldn't turn them down but think they need to do a little soul searching on their leadership and team building skills...

Jeremy was also in the midst of some heavy overtraining. O’Show had ran him into the ground. He was 2 time champ, struggling, and that had to be a factor.

Sounds like Wil Hahn is one hell of a good manager if you ask me. I would protest fuel, check everything with a ton of money on the line, it’s his job and the AMA’s job to keep things in toe. You guys don’t like Bill Belichick either but he won championships for being sharp and teetering the edge of the line on rules. #creativethinking

Well Donny... the Star team owner may know a thing or two about race fuels. He used an engine consultant that Yamaha uses. Same guy some F1 and Nascar teams use. And that consultant has worked with almost all the fuel companies DEVELOPING their race fuels on his dyno. His personal built dyno, with more data points then any dyno folks can simply purchase was used to develop these fuels.

So they may know something... But well, they did get beat (star) and it's a sore loser mover IMO. )
