I was having such a crap day till I came on this thread. You all are amazing people and with all the stuff going on right now it feels so good to see and read all your kind words to this little man. If it were not for tough times right now I’d be sending some stuff to Collin as well. My thought and prayers are with you Collin. I really hope somebody can make this get seen by the people on the broadcast crew that would be awesome. It’s always good to see the youth enjoying the sport I grew up with and have such a strong passion for. Hey Collin if you need help on picking a favorite rider Adam Cianciarulo is one heck of a nice guy!
Thanks man! I’ll try to talk him into being an AC fan too at some point I’m sure! One thing I have to say about this thread and the support friends and family have provided us in general since Collin’s diagnosis is that I honestly underestimated the goodness in people. We’ve got a three year old daughter who can’t be here with us and if it wasn’t for people stepping up so selflessly without being asked I don’t know how we could ever do this. It’s easy to get jaded with all the bad news in the world. People, it turns out, when it really matters, show you who they are. And people have shown our family more kindness and compassion than I could have ever imagined. When this is all a distant memory and Collin is back to his normal life I hope I never let myself forget the goodness in people.

When someone asked who my son's favorite rider was I said he was too new to really have one. My guess is it's Tyler Bowers now! Huge thank you to Tyler, Chas, and Triggr Racing for doing this. Tyler just made a new five year old fan for life! And thank you Chas for being such a great guy and for your supportive words. You guys went so above and beyond it's ridiculous.

Please tell your son we are ALL thinking about him. How long will he bein the hospital? I was thinking if you could provide an address we here at Vital MX could send him some "get well soon' cards and whatever else anyone would like to send him during this time.

Thank you for thinking of my son! This is all so cool to him now but it's going to blow his mind when he's old enough to grasp just how hard everyone has rallied to keep his spirits up. I'm speechless. I've grown up obsessed with this sport. Besides my dad, most of my idols were racers. To feel this level of love and support from an industry that has been such a huge part of my life is indescribable. The plan right now is that we stay here at Primary Children's Hospital for the next month and then go home for about two weeks and then come back in for another stay of a month or so. Then continue doing that back and forth through the rest of the year.

Collin will be in our prayers during this fight. I can't imagine what it's like but I wish you guys the best.
With all the negativity in the world right now, the response in this thread is the most endearing thing I've seen in a long time.

Thank you man. I keep thinking the same thing. People have amazed me. When Chas from Triggr Racing stopped by the hospital today I literally wanted to hug the guy. It was like "This is actually real. These awesome, supportive people on Vital are actually real." With all of this with my son being so new everything still feels like a weird dream.

Man Collin would LOVE that! I feel like I have to keep saying that I don't want anyone to feel obligated to send anything because I'm one of those guys who was raised to never ask for anything. But in this situation it's not about me or some dumb ingrained "pride." It's all about keeping my son happy and his spirits up through all of this and you guys, through words, pictures, and actions have really helped us do that. As for my wife and I, we're lucky to be so supported by friends and family. I think we're as good as anyone can be in a situation like this. At least right now. But it's all day by day I guess. She's been so unbelievably strong for Collin and never lets her fear or worry show through in front of him. I'm just doing my best. Thank you for offering to help out though!

Finding out your child is not well is the most painful experience in life. You guys are in our thoughts. 18 years ago we got the news our daughter had kidney failure. We had to stay at All Children's for a month and even though we got a hotel room they couldn't get us to leave that room and slept on a chair for a month and I only saw that hotel room to shower a couple times. We were a wreck but kids are so much tougher than us in these situations. She is doing great and doctors have come so far exponentially since then too. We made a poster for 2020 SX Ambassador Collin. We would also like to buy you and your wife dinner at the least or as you choose because it is extremely hard on you as well. Please accept and I know you would not ask but we insist. What is your PayPal address please?
If my rental sale falls through (for the 3rd time) you guys are welcome to a few days at our place on Sanibel island for some beach time to recharge, I've done the same for other members here and it is our pleasure.
In our thoughts, Dave, Julie and Marina

Thank you Dave, Julie, and Marina from the Fox family! That is so kind of you to get that for Collin and for your generous offers. It really helps a lot hearing from other people that have had to deal with scary situations with their kids and hearing about them coming out better and stronger after it's all over. You have done far more than enough but I'm happy to email you my Venmo if you'd like. Thank you again!
