Uh ohh.....10% loss of oxygen per 1,000 feet! I feel sorry for those poor folks who live above 10,000ft elevation. Must be a actual ghost town up there in Leadville Colorado. 😜
Start at 100%. 1000 ft is 90%, 10% off that is 81% etc etc. But as explained is it due to air thickness not percentage of o2 in the air.

I've got a friend who has been a trauma/surgical nurse for years. She says that it's not at all uncommon for someone who has recovered from a serious traumatic injury (a la KR's arm) to exhibit other symptoms...like respiratory problems later on down the line simply because of the body's immune system taken a hit because it had to work so hard to heal and repair damage from the said injury.

I have no idea if this is what is causing Roczens issues...or if it's a lagging COVID problem, but it sounds so odd that it just might be right.

I think he needs to just go back to Florida and get ready for the Nationals....the altitude is not good for "asthma"

What will he do when they get to Thunder Valley then? Probably win like he did last year.

Remember, Kenny was the rider who did not want to start racing again May 15th.

Roczen had Covid-19?
Just a guess. His instagram post said he had a bad respiratory illness during January or so and resulting lung and breathing problems.

Alergy induced asthma is real and doesn’t affect people the same.
For me, dust mites and mold make my lungs totally seize up.
For others perfume.
Roczen could be anything!

No. Look at covid 19 signs and symptoms and long term effects and read KROCs instagram post. It's not a wild ass guess. Did you not see question marks in my post? ????????

He needs a sports psychologist
Roczen needs to sign up to Vital, there are plenty of resident psychologists here...

It's Tomacs title to lose. I think he has always had the talent to win. This year he seems to be more relaxed and less mental for lack of a better word. He really seems to have gotten it all together.

As far as I am concerned, Kenny became one of our sport's greatest stars when he swung his leg over the bike his first race after the bad arm injury. Everything else is just icing on the cake, being in the hunt for a title is over the top fantastic for guy who beat the odds as he has. To me, this great man has nothing to prove, he is as bad-ass as they get! He can walk away from racing and raise a family, enjoy life. And in a few years when he gets bored, I would love to see him as a team manager, the next Roger DeCoster.
Best post ever on Ken Roczen. Ken's already won when he rolls to the line.

Can Kenny hold off Webb for P2 in the championship?

Looks like that will be the only interesting battle for the last 3 races championship wise.

Last two races make it clear that number2 will come second and Kenny will get third.

The bigger question should be how much will Honda pay to get Ferrandis alongside Sexton next year?
This!!!!! If I was Honda I’d be throwing the kitchen sink to sign Ferrandis

No matter how talented and marketable, not even KR94 can outrun The Curse of the Bambino.

Might win if tomac is buried at the start or goes down

Not a chance... Webb goes to P2 and Anderson takes down Barcia for P4...

It's a shame to see his race results tank like this. We know it's do to his health. Is this a Covid19 aftermath? The lingering lung issues are definitely a side effect of Covid. Would you want to know if you have had it? Will he sit out the Nationals? They physical demands on his body will be a lot higher outdoors. This sport needs personalities with talent like his. I hope whatever he has gets cleared up.

Idk maybe he did get the flu(I refuse to call it anything but what it is) but if this so called pandemic was real why is no one else having these problems? So he got the flu and got over it, came back and then mysteriously has degrading health from it after a few races? So why didn’t it happen when he was training before the return of racing bc he’s been training the whole time which is much more demanding on the body than a race day? the op is trying to justify why his rider is struggling by making things fit. I can’t believe people are taking this trash seriously.

Track went to shit in a hurry after the 250 restart. It's possible they thought it was going to stay dry and went to dry bike settings then paid the price. From the looks of the field that may have happened under more than one tent. Wish we could see 20 more mins of Coop and Eli with no lappers, that was awesome.
I don’t, it would have been a run away without them.

I am not buying that Ken has a issue other than not being in good enough shape to recover with only 3 days rest.
