Sinisalo worked well for me for years. Xtreme gear impressed as quality goods later on. Don't suppose either is readily available anymore. The original HRP chest protector was the most comfortable I ever raced with.

FXR is fantastic gear, very durable (even the lower cost lineups). Some of their designs are too busy though IMO. TLD has been very durable as well, but just not quite as good as FXR, albeit it didn't cost as much either. I like the look of my Fox gear. Durability of the Fox 180 is average at best. The Fox 360 is much better (get what you pay for). If $$ is an issue and going with the lower cost line up of each brand, have to go FXR then TLD in terms of durability. Have not tried any other brands in a while TBH. I'm certain there are other brands that are very high quality too. Lots to choose from.

In the last 3 years I have worn Fox/Shift, Thor and FLY. All three make great gear IMO. My personal favorite right now is the FLY lite hydrogen just for the BOA system, the BOA really sets it apart for me. Quality on the three brands seems about the same as far as durability go.

Moose Sahara is my gear of choice. I try other brands and keep going back to the Moose Sahara. Sahara is very light and the most vented. Not a bigfan of their color ways. Answer is a great company and their upper end stuff is very good. Fox has become very expensive and doesnt have a lot in the way of vented gear. Fox doesnt really stand behind their product very well. O'neal is very durable.

I bought high end Fly gear two times. It fell apart, seams come unstitched. Fly doesn't stand behind their products. They have no respect for their customers. Very bad company. I beleive their helmets are pretty good, but I would never do business with them ever again.

Same here. I've had mine for a few years now, and they've been super durable. Starting to wear through the leather a touch now, but no tears or anything

I wore TLD for years and I recently switched to Alpinestars. Came down to styling and price. I ride alot of offroad with occasional track days and the Alpinestars kit I bought was the "top shelf" and I've noticed it snags/rips on tree branches where my TLD stuff didn't. Although for wearing it on the MX track its awesome. Leather patches on knees are huge and great quality leather. I have really enjoyed both and it comes down to style for me!

P.s If you are built like Weston Peick the Astars stuff is TIGHT.

I used to run the NXT line in the 2000s and it was fantastic. I still wear my black and green set and it has held up well. I bought some new MSR stuff for a smokin deal on RM and the pants had a weird fit and the zipper broke very quickly. It gave me the impression that quality suffered when RM or whoever took over the brand. Have you had luck with the newer stuff?

Maybe it’s just me but I grew up on fox and shift. Still wear those to this day unless it’s a throwback day at the pits and I’m rocking LBZ.

Most durable - ONeil , gear from 15 years ago is still in great condition

I feel like I’m a Fasthouse homer here sometimes but, honestly, their base pant and American made jerseys are incredibly durable. Fly and O’Neal are the only brands of gear I haven’t owned so I can’t speak to those but the Fasthouse stuff is probably the most durable gear I’ve owned. I’ve owned quite a bit of it. It isn’t thin or lightweight, however. Although, many of their jerseys are vented and the made in China jerseys are lightweight.

I’ve been horrified at the poor quality of fox we won’t be buying another item from them high price low quality but O’Neal has been cheap and lasted much longer.
My 12 year old no fear gear looks almost like new.....

The pic shows 5 months old gloves fox in camo O’Neal black hi vis and a pair of fox socks worn once.

I'm a sucker for fly kinetic mesh, look feel and quality so I run it most of the time. However the best quality gear I have ever ran hands down was Klim. Not big in the moto world but their gear truly is top notch.

FLY kinetic line has been really good for me. Never had any issues with tears or seams coming apart. I wear XL jersey, so not into the athletic fit gear.

My kids destroy gear. No exaggeration. So when my youngest got a sponsorship for gear from a local company I was pretty stoked. Being a new smaller company I didn't expect much. They gave him a set to try while the colors he chose were ordered. It took awhile since they were just starting up so he ran that first set for around 4-5 months straight. It still looked good & no tears even riding through winter in sand & mud. He has had 4-5 sets since then and they all have been some of the most durable stuff we have found. Yeah, kind of have dog in fight but it has been great gear.

I’ve been delightfully surprised at the quality of Seven gear. Even the entry level stuff. The knees have stood up really well compared to a lot of other pants I’ve tried.
