It was a great first time event that (if continued) will evolve and improve. Straight Rhythm wasn't perfect in its first year. I mean, did anyone really expect Glover to be competitive against guys like Pastrana, Alessi, and RV? To me, it was cool putting TP on the YZ490 and having him race it against The Golden Boy. I think with some minor adjustments, this could become a top notch event. I would have liked to see more off-track stuff... maybe a quick interview with both riders as they finished their lap. We didn't really get any banter between competitors which might have changed the way some people viewed Alessi. Sure, he was all business... but it seemed Bradshaw was also all business and they did little to no interview/discussion with him during the event.

Also, did anyone else catch some background chatter? Not sure what that was but it sounded like production guys in a studio or a background radio communication?

I was watching the raw video from practice and it blows my mind how someone can make a track look as smooth as KDub does.

Wasn't able to catch it live but wow that was great. For sure worth the $20.

Sure there was some hiccups in camera angles, sound/microphones and a touch of organization issues, but overall this was great. Plus remember this was a first for probably everyone involved, put on in 2 weeks, all during a really weird time for getting anything done.

Given all that thanks to everyone who made this happen!

Not surprising Alessi won. He is the undisputed king of grabbing a start and going super fast for a lap or two. This format was perfect for him.

And you can tell he has kept himself in racing shape. He is actually a few months older than RV2.

Good for him. How many laps was a race? How many minutes?

Didnt Alessi race just last winter in German SX series or other Euro SX events? Its not too long when he was racing anyway.

matches/prelims were one lap, final was three laps. Not sure about lap times.

Yeah and that track was definitely a cake walk compared to a national at the end of the second moto. It was really fun to watch. Pastrana on the 490 was great. I've heard those things are so hard to ride.

Exactly. I thought this was an event for retired racers? He's still actively racing. But at least he can hang that belt over his mantle and tell everyone about how he beat some retired racers. lol

You guys need to chill. Sipes raced a pro supercross 2 months ago. Weimer has only been out of the sport for 1 year longer than Mike, and he didn't get out of the first round.

Seriously, these guys just drove thousands of miles to race for free, for charity. Relax.

I have certainly never been at villopotos level but I used to run inside top 20 overall at the GNCCs and I can't do a wheelie to save my life.
