On a serious note... can we send tape to the powers that be and get the 2 stroke cc limit raised to 350 or whatever Sipes was running? I'd say it was plainly obvious his bikes were evenly matched... just a different type of power.

I actually really enjoyed the first couple years of four strokes – watching the different advantages and disadvantages was fun!

I saw on Facebook he had a seizure in the morning. I assume he is ok being that they didn’t mention it at all. Pumped to see one of my local tracks on tv (even with shitty camera angles)

The Windham and sipes race where Windham whipped it over the big tabletop.

His style is timeless, and weirdly it’s never been copied.

Seeing it in action again is worth 20 bucks alone.

Even the playing field a bit, bring the speeds down while bringing the aggressive racing up haha

I thought it was great, and well worth the money. I found myself yelling at the TV even more than a usual SX broadcast.

Maybe the haters don't appreciate the historical significance. We just saw Damon-fucking-Bradshaw out there banging bars with RV. Broc Glover racing Travis Pastrana, and for that matter Travis Pastrana at speed on a motocross track again. I almost got goose bumps seeing the combinations of some of the names. It was very cool.

Never mind who won, I'd expect nothing less.

The only thing I might change, and not to take anything away from Mike, but maybe have a little more time between retirement and racing this event.

It was a great first time event that (if continued) will evolve and improve. Straight Rhythm wasn't perfect in its first year. I mean, did anyone really expect Glover to be competitive against guys like Pastrana, Alessi, and RV? To me, it was cool putting TP on the YZ490 and having him race it against The Golden Boy. I think with some minor adjustments, this could become a top notch event. I would have liked to see more off-track stuff... maybe a quick interview with both riders as they finished their lap. We didn't really get any banter between competitors which might have changed the way some people viewed Alessi. Sure, he was all business... but it seemed Bradshaw was also all business and they did little to no interview/discussion with him during the event.

Also, did anyone else catch some background chatter? Not sure what that was but it sounded like production guys in a studio or a background radio communication?

Watching the replay now. Was worth it thus far just to watch Sipes and Travis rip those two strokes. Damn they’re both getting after it!

More time between the races. Not like a whole intermission, but like you said, a couple quick interviews and given them a few more minutes to catch their breath.

That was bad ass. I couldn't believe how fast all the older guys were going and you know RV was yelling 'FUUUUUUUUCK!!' as Alessi pulled away haha! Hearing Sipe's bike singing was music to my ears too.
