This is just my humble 2 cents so take it with a grain of salt, but to me a guy like Ryno is never really happy. Always searching for something that he may never find. Probably why he went through so much change within himself. 5 years from now he may be someone completely different again. But that’s what makes Ryno, Ryno and what has made all his success (and also failures) possible.

It's ironic you say that. Did you listen to the interview because he literally said that is how he lived his life up until this point. He says he is finished chasing things in life. Whether he keeps that lifestyle or not who knows. Give it a listen.

Pretty sure he will never stop chasing women though.

Yeah but you have to admit....saying you are done chasing things, and actually being done chasing things....not the same. I agree with ti473.

Just to keep it positive though...Ryan seems to have exceptionally healthy hair for someone that spent most of their life with a helmet on. Credit where it's due.

Wow lots of haters in here. Guess that's to be expected since we're all on an Internet chat room. Meanwhile this millionaire is in Hawaii soaking up the sun and surf in between banging 10's of course.
Seems to me like a great guy who still has so much passion and enthusiasm for a sport we all love too. He gives back in more ways than one. Even after all the injuries and dark times. He talks fast same as how he rides. Makes great points and is humble about it. Some of you guys just need to get out and ride me thinks. Wink
Millionaire ? Unsure

I’m a fan of his, he is a cool dude !! A little out there ? Maybe... but he’s living his life how he wants to, more than most can say !

His delivery and intensity of speech is certainly odd, but I really don't think what he has to say is at all bizzare.

I agree. Dudes living in Hawaii. And some of these guys say he has nothing. He was an awesome addition to 90s moto. And an awesome addition to the pulpmx show. And the heaters could learn a thing or 2 from him. These guys saying negative things about how he has nothing to show for it, makes me wonder what they did with their life. Good chance it’s not what he did!

On WT show he said he's had 35 concussions, and a lot of other physical trauma. Divorce can really leave you feeling empty, also. The guy is happy and coming to terms with himself, so I see nothing wrong with that. Imagine having thousands of critics judging everything you say you and do.

I'm always amazed that some people still think that simply going fast on a motorcycle for a relatively short amount of time in life is in and of itself the completion of a "successful" life. It ain't.

And l also love how peoples assume to know someones inner thoughts and their bank accounts.

Yes, he says he's happy. So do 99% of people when asked. Regardless of it all Ryno is free to do whatever the fuck he wants. I may take training advice from him but holy shit, if you're taking life advice from this guy then, well, l guess you get what you deserve.

35 concussions? last I checked Pastrana said he had only 25.

Maybe all those TBI’s are catching up...

Its obvious most of you havent been kicked squarely in the balls by life when you're sure you've got it all figured out.

Wait until your in your 40's or 50's, you end up divorced, with child support, alimony, and lost everything and have to start all over again. The icing on the cake is watching your ex-wife nearly immediately move her new boyfriend into the house you built, and know you're paying her to f*ck another dude now. Ive seen it happen again and again and it breaks the strongest men out there.

There's a lot of hidden deeper meaning and truth behind what ryno is speaking about. He has learned some incredibly hard lessons in life that have NOTHING to do with moto. Some men curl up in a ball and whither away, become bitter, angry, lonely old has beens. Other men take their licks, learn from their mistakes, understand where they went wrong in life, and try to actually CHANGE. What an amazing concept.

My hats off to Ryno. He has changed after his divorce and the bottom fell out of his life. He is still Ryno at his core, but he has become someone who loves the sport he lived in for so long and is giving back in every way he can. Look at all the past factory guys that we never hear or see from anymore.

Kinda sad that living like Ryno gets looked upon like being crazy.

I'll say this, there are industry people that are way more out there with their philosophies that actually can be seen as dangerous for themselves and others.

Ryno has my respect (except the spring bike training tool, cmon Ryno haha).

Listen to it last night because of this thread, the interview should come with a warning “ only listen to this if your over 50 and experienced all life’s BS “

Was there a few times when I thought Jesus this guy is out there yes but mostly I was nodding my head because what he just said resonated so deeply.
He has figured out that all things in your life material and emotional all get taken away and you have to adapt.

Only thing he hasn’t figured out is we will never be as fulfilled as we are when we are young, vibrant, energetic and pushing the whole world in front of us, should that be top level dirt bike riding, building up a business or even building a house. When your youth gets taken away from you and people you thought had your back hurt you then to become enlightened helps you cope.

He’s obviously reading a lot and has maybe even read my favourite Oscar wild quote
“ Youth! There is nothing like youth. The middle-aged are mortgaged to Life. The old are in Life's lumber-room. But youth is the Lord of Life. Youth has a kingdom waiting for it. Every one is born a king, and most people die in exile.”

One of the coolest parts of my trip to Anaheim 1 this year. Ryno was hanging out at the Honda truck for a long time and I got to talk to him and get some pics. I just approached and asked for a quick pic. He ended up talking to me for a while about riding and offered some training and riding advice and was just awesome.

Thats awesome mate, nice! Ryno has made the effort to respond through DM a few times with detailed info regarding questions I have asked him through the past few years. Cant knock the legend for his dedication to the sport and his followers all over the world. I enjoy his perspective on things and things I have tried have been worth it for me.

Ryno is out there for sure but its because he has adapted what he has learned and molded it to fit him for his own life. Thats why it seem so strange to so many in the moto community where he is the most well known. Most men in the moto life are in the 20-30 year old range and dont have a clue what he is talking about.

In the PulpMX podcast that pain he talks about being real as anything else you experience in life is 100% legit. I really like when he talks about not wanting to go back to accomplishing those 'goals' again. Kids? did it. Marriage? Did it. Factory guy? did it. Famous? Did it. Buried by the material things you own? Did it.

He was absolutely spot on when he talked about the abandonment and horrible feeling of being alone after a divorce and losing everything including his kids. There's no pain in the world that feels like that deep dark hole of loss, depression, and anxiety.

Hats off to Ryno for living in the moment and enjoying life again.

They are grouped into similar categories with many medical professionals using the term mild TBI to describe certain concussions. Depending on the severity of the concussion it can be easily categorized as a TBI.

I've always found the Pulp MX site extremely confusing to navigate.
