Here are the factory Showa rear shock mounted on the clean hydroblasted frame. Of cause the shock will be taken apart and all small bits and pieces will be anodized in the right color so all looks like new. I have a new factory spring, blue, but haven’t decided yet if I should go with the blue or if I should go for yellow, freshly painted of cause

Happy holidays to all of you.
I am almost getting there, wanna update you guys with the parts I have been able to get a hold of lately. Also starting to assemble the bike, just to check if all parts fit and if I miss a bolt or a nut....

Factory hub with new factory spacer and new factory disc

Will need a new rear disc, I have used this once for racing

Factory holeshot device

I guess this photo need no explanation

Ready for skid plate to be mounted

Factory skid plate, still with dirt on from it's last race by HRC factory rider

As I am still missing the the US muffler I will be forced to mount the European version. New, never been on a bike

Factory chain guide, for a 2005. This was a very trick part to get a hold of. After all, they live a very hard life why they a short lived.

Always nice with a spare shock. However still need to service the billet factory rear shock

All for now.
Still open to receive informations for factory engine parts.

Wow these are some incredible finds! I have a few factory one off parts on my bike and it was pure luck I came across those.

Beautiful build so far! Are those Showa forks 51mm or 49mm? What is the size of the front axle used for the HRC Showa forks/hubs?
Thanks!

The front HRC axles of this period where same as OEM diameter and the front hubs take oem bearings and seals. 49mm and 51mm forks have a slightly different lug design. The 49mm have beefier lugs with a reinforcing ridge on the top. The 51mm lugs have that reinforcing ridge removed and material also removed between the 2 lug bolts. Moreover, the 51mm have a shorter (thinner lug) compared to the 49mm fork with a thicker/ taller lug wrapped around the axle. I am guessing that Showa tried to remove as much weight as possible from the 51mm lugs to help compensate for the weight of the bigger diameter tubes.

Thank you for the info! Good stuff. Looking forward to seeing some more updates on your build too!

I assume you are looking for a 51mm fork? the 2001-2008 Showa works fork is pretty much the same fork and the lug bolts are vertical. From 2009, the Showa works fork lugs changed so they are in a horizontal position underneath the lug. I know where you can get both Showa works 51mm forks, but of course they will not be cheap. PM me with your email address, if you have an interest.

After years of searching I finally got my hands of a HRC shorty silencer. Consistency finally paid off.

Here fitted on the bike.

Have been cleaning the caliber as well, and gave it some good old elbow grease.

I am finally getting there, only few bits and pieces missing.

Can anyone please help me? I am looking for a HRC rear brake lever like the one you see on below pic. If anybody have one for sale please let me know, or can point me in such direction.

On the other hand I have a 4-stroke HRC rear brake lever for sale. Please go to Vintagehonda.nl on Instagram under HRC for sale.

Well, it's pretty easy:-) Most of the factory parts haven’t been used, or used only once why they were easy to clean and make look like new again. And the parts that have been used was in pretty good shape when I got a hold of them. Some parts that needed a lot of TLC I had to dig out patience and elbow grease:-)
