The ONLY way some of you would enjoy the broadcast is-

- Tape delay, with the announcers knowing the outcome already and production able to show you everything relevant because it’s already happened.

- Your NBC app including a 14 year old to come and show you how to easily navigate, purchase and watch the race, commercial free.

I’m convinced that 99% of the viewers do actually enjoy watching Supercross, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be better. The standard of the announcing is mediocre at best, and we got a glimpse that it could be a lot better during the first 3 races. It’s okay to criticise

Your last paragraph is awesome.

First one i disagree. Just get their heads outta their asses and they would have 90%of the shows issues solved.

The only issue I had yesterday was the qualifying / practice part of the day. Stream was lagging / stuttering a bit. But the night show ran really good. One other thing here though......I re-watched some of the main races this morning , and the replay is definitely a lot sharper than the live broadcast. Like 720p for live and 1080p on the replay. Thing is , my mxgp live races I watched all seemed to be about 1080p. I never get any stuttering either. Not sure what's up with that.

Jeffro,

Could this possibly be a problem on your end? I watched the race last night, on my IPad hooked up to my TV. HD the whole time. Everything fine.

I can only think of a few times it hasn’t been perfect and those times are when I am at a hotel or a different WiFi somewhere. Even over LTE, I can’t complain.

Ok, everyone do not make any constructive comments on how to possibly improve things. Let’s just leave things to the industry insiders, they seem to know everything.

I’m not an industry insider no mo’

Just an average fan enjoying my live racing for cheap on many available platforms that seem to work great for me every weekend. Weird.

I remember someone complaining that there was no commercials on the gold app and that he paid to see those commercials, not dead silence. True story

How do I purchase Gold? How do I watch it on my TV? Why is the stream lagging? The screen says "Ok, I agree, Continue" what do I do?

So i watch italian league soccer on espn+ (don’t judge me) and they run 45 minute halves with 15 minutes in between. rather than run broadcast commercials, they use about 10 of those 15 halftime minutes to show historical matchups between the two teams that are playing. Its really cool to see the history and it gives context to the current game.

This would be a great way to fill the time gap during “commercial break in progress” screens. Since NBC has the supercross rights and motocross rights, they could show highlights from top contenders in years past in both series. Like before the 450 main show some battles between roczen and tomac in their 250 outdoor days or show a highlight reel of AC winning his rookie 250 sx race.

I know it’s a little off topic, but my main complaint is the awkward stadium shots.

Right,
there is a lot of stuff that could be done during the Commercial, time imo. Like
Put Daniel and Holly back on and do a few more minutes of short Race day live
Clips. Just about how the night is going so far
Or interview Different people on how their night is going so far. Or like someone else said attach a Go pro to the bob cat
Lol funny but would be cool imo

I streamed the Gold app to my patio tv while BBQ’n burgers and letting my kids and a couple friends enjoy the best sport on earth. We watched an old YouTube of AC racing his KX65 and now AC is his favorite No complaints out here in NorCal!

This week, while watching a Barça game live in DAZN, I noticed little dots in the playbar. I checked and turned out each dot was one of the most important plays of the game. And this live! So yeah, a mark signaling 1 minute before every race would be really appreciated. Other tan this, happy with the service.

I swear to god my 4 year old twins could access the NBC app faster than half the adults on this site.

It literally could not be any easier ...

Greatest viewing feature in mx/supercross history...

Hey Andy , I'm not sure what was happening yesterday during practice , but a lot of guys in the thread were getting the same thing I was ( stuttering ) . I didn't get that during the night show. I have a 300mb connection here and works flawless on everything , except for yesterday.

No shit. Sports going to be amazing hidden behind a paywall. Morons

And l'd like someone to explain how loading down NBC and Feld with app riches helps the sport?

Some of you are just beyond idiocy and hope.

I never have issues, not once in two years, but during the qualifiers, it was stuttering a lot. The main was flawless though. I think they were just having tech issues. No biggie.

The only thing I've ever complained about was like 15 years ago when Emig was brought into the booth. I couldn't stand him. But, like Ralph, he grew on me, improved more than I believed he could. I've learned to complain less, and enjoy what we have now. I'm sure it could always be better, but I love it.

Ok fellas, here's the honest truth. I bought the Gold and with help from my son I got it to work. Not HD but watchable. I blame the poor quality on my provider...can't blame NBC.

BUT, I get tired of hearing from those that dig playing with tech and have fun "figuring" it out. It isn't as easy as turning on your television and tuning in a channel. ...at least for us old timers. How many of you could rig the landing gear doors on a C-5 Galaxy aircraft? You could if you were taught....I've never been taught how to make tech shit work. I respect those that have tech skills but I don't think you're stupid if you can't build an airplane. We can all learn from each other.

From what I've read on here, there are people trying to watch on a ton of different formats and methods. Some work and some not so much. I've also seen that there are plenty of eggheads on here that could watch it with 2 tin cans and some string. How about you help the dunces instead of saying your 3 year old could do it. (I got lots of help from Vital bros so you guys disregard). There ya go.

I fly a brand new Jet with the latest avionics and I gave up on trying to get the stupid Gold AP I paid for to work. When I buy something I expect it to work. If it doesn't I chalk it up to getting scammed and never buy something from the company again.

Supercross needs a EASY BUTTON to watch it and I would go out on a limb and assume their viewership would go up. But, what do I know I’m just a dumb pilot.

I will say that I am not quite the average tech averse person. Heck, I architect and deploy email environments for the largest businesses and organizations in the world Wink

There have been legitimate issues, not necessarily NBC Gold "service" but app/device related issues. I have had Gold for 2.5 years and never had issues until last outdoor season.

For instance - the last four races of the 2019 outdoor season the Roku devices I have both had issues during live streaming. The races would play for roughly 10 mins and then degrade and stop until the stream was restarted. My FireTV and web/phone app was flawless.

Also, historical replay of past MX and SX seasons was broken before this SX season started on both the Roku and FireTV. This is a known issue and NBC sports has confirmed that many devices are affected by this issue.

There was also a credential caching issue I had with my FireTV right before the season started. Heck, I started a thread to diagnose the issue and went to post how to fix it and a mod, I suspect Mav, removed the post before I could post the fix. As someone posted in another thread "no good deed goes unpunished'HA!! Most of my posts about Gold have been trying to help others.

Trying to dissuade people from posting Gold issues is understandable as there is a lot of noise, so to speak. However, I really dig the service and don't mind trying to help others.

Lol...I really dig the Garmin in the Scorpion Jet and Longitude I'm working on right now. If things get "deep"...we have avionics techs that take over. I've got other things to do and can't spend hours troubleshooting electrickery.

You bump the boy up from the PW80? I nearly went with one of those DS/JR80's after the CRF pitbike but went the KX60 instead. Looks like he's all over the 65 now. Got one of those for this year now too as mine has grown some.

Lol...I really dig the Garmin in the Scorpion Jet and Longitude I'm working on right now. If things get "deep"...we have avionics techs that take over. I've got other things to do and can't spend hours troubleshooting electrickery.
Is the radar on the Longitude any better than the ones in the other Garmin equipped Citations? We are looking at a CL 350. I’d like to steer the boss toward looking at the Longitude, but I like to see the weather before I hit it.

On topic, I can never work the tv in any pilot lounge I’ve ever been in.
