Yepp, frame looks to be a completely new design. Looks very slim too.

I can't spot the air intake in the front, but there are definitely no openings in the number plates in the back. The air has to come from somewhere..

Anyone else detect a YZF-style intake noise?

These are the last spy pics from Sardinia of Tim Gajser's HRC CRF 450 2021 prototype. Single muffler, new head (central pipe exit), new frame, new plastics, looks like the airbox is structural.

I didn't know that. It definitely helps a squid like me having those number plates flared out.

ML512 might correct me here but didnt they patent a carbon fibre airbox which was molded as part of the whole subframe? You can see the front number plate has a small slot at the bottom (in a previous pic above) so I guess the air intact is there

My son rides a New ‘19CRF450
I told him, he ❤️‘s Honda’s, that if we go to a Honda again, I’m running an FMF SINGLE!!
We are!!👍👍
My time at Factory HONDA proved to me, duals are a waist of time across the board, PERIOD!!!
Nothing of benefits claimed are TRUE.

Jesus - that frame is so narrow. If that’s still aluminum I’ll be shocked.

I meant the carbon airbox as part of the subframe (one piece)...or is that what you also mean?

Possibly the new CRF150r instead?

If it’s the new 450 might want to skip this year ala 2018 crf250

I'd bet big that we don't see an integrated carbon fibre airbox/subframe on a standard Honda any time soon...

Fair enough, but then who thought they would put a titanium tank on a production bike....

Frame sure looks odd. Looking forward to some still pics to see what going on. It’s cool they are changing things up though.

You‘re right, but carbon fiber is another animal. It is very very hard to mass produce. Ask BMW..

No way, you‘ll see CFRP structual parts on an 8000$ dirt bike.

That's Mitch Evans, so he may be on a different prototype too during this stage of testing.

I don’t ride Honda’s but i always thought the dual pipes were cool. Make them different from all the rest.

From what I can see...although a bit blurred, it look's like Honda is making the effort to seriously reduce weight.

And from what ive felt, Honda is the lightest feeling bike out on the track, wonder how this will feel.
Where’s the line though? Feeling so light that it will be squierrely down the straights a la 2009 crf450?
