It looks like a die casting, perhaps a forging, rather than machined.

Dude, you can clearly see the milling marks on the lower part of the frame.

It makes sense (because it's very fast) to mill the first prototyps from a block to test differnet frame configurations. If they then decide on a general frame concept, they build a casting mould and cast the frame parts.

The only thing I wanted to say with my post was: Look, milled frame --> one-off works frame which is not in production yet!

A red rider always will be. Looks like I’ll be buying a 21 if they can drop a few lbs which looks like their goal kudos. Can’t wait. Plus it will be what the 2020 SX champ will ride next year!!

I can see why you are saying machined #434.

It has a machine finished texture and looks like a casting or forging that has been coloured in- possibly by a cutter on a die grinder.

I'm not not convinced that it has been milled from solid.

Compare the work on the peg bracket to the finish on the frame.

Evidence for your assertion that the frame member has been machined please.

Oh look, the billet brake lever was also “cast or forged and then textured with a die grinder”.

Seriously dude. That’s absurd.

Call me crazy but I thought the race the Honda bikes looked rigid in the rough compared to the Kawasaki's.

The irregular, angled burr cutter marks left after the part lines and shut marks were hand finished.

I might be going red again too. The dual exhaust was super lame on a MX bike. I'm currently going through my photo library and just cringe every time I see the rear of a Honda with duals. Thank god they are getting rid of them.

Fair comment, personally I love the look however unlike those who would not buy one with duals, I would buy one without duals Smile Either way it doesnt worry me in the least, duals certainly polarized a lot of people. Maybe MXA might now put it first place in its shootout Smile lol

Yup. Was thinking something similar about MXA when I 1st seen this post. Not that it matters since I don’t put to much stock into shootouts.
I thought it was funny to see MXA continue to keep putting the orange bike in the top spot these last few years. When all the other shootouts had other brands at the top because of all the positive changes made to improve their bikes.
It will be interesting to see if Jody & the gang will actually pick this bike if it does live up to the hype.
