What Pro runs the most stock bike?

Really looking forward to Pit Bits again, and wondering who successfully runs a bike with "stock" suspension and exhaust etc?

If your'e a journeyman pro, and don't want to spend for kit suspension, what bike would you ride because some other top pro has shown it works?

I'm just assuming, that for a team, the bikes will be the most stock. I'm sure Ml512 can enlighten us whenever he sees this.

In the pics in the article it looks like stock forks no coatings even.

Production suspension with SX settings. The production Showa fork cartridge is what Roczen raced on just over a year ago.

By the time we build our 250 East bikes they’ll have some coated legs and 18mm shafts for the shocks but all built from the production suspension.

There’s plenty of teams on production or production based suspension currently.

ARay showed his race bike from SGB and it's at least got kit/coated suspension and I believe some motor work. He's been practicing on a more stock bike up until now

What kind of service intervals are you guys getting out of a 450 motor?

For the 250 class, the Yamaha for sure. Stock suspension and motor is pretty great. Buy the gytr motor parts and have Enzo do the suspension and you’re in decent shape.

Windham rode with just FC stuff, instead of works stuff. Right?
I think Pourcel rode a detuned motor too.

We have had a production rule for decades, and it's common for people to say "What other motorsport can you go spend $10k and be able to line up with the world's best?".

Is it true? Are they really "Ready to Race"?

Coatings and kit suspension sure look good and help the confidence factor. Depending on the component, sometimes they are an improvement. Production stuff is REALLY good these days on most models.

Jerry Robin was on a production AER fork with just valving on an engine with just head work and sometimes race gas all last year and the bike never held him back from running up front or starting up front.

Back when Chad was throwing together a CRF450 last minute for the MEC, I commented that I wonder what was inside that motor? Was it just a pipe, Hinson & maybe an ignition? I was considering how last minute it was- Some guys on this forum laughed at me and thought it was a full-on build!

Maybe I was right.

I think it was Geneva supercross Barcia commented that he was running the stock motor as it allows him to rev the piss out of it without it having too much power like that the factory motors. It was running a PC pipe and I think had Hinson clutch cover on it but that was it
