We are down voting because we don't like how the team found out about it. I don't agree with how they handled it so I down voted it. Damn Fabio, grow some balls . Why are people up voting it ? people lost their jobs.
So do i downvote your post to agree or disagree. What is up voting and down voting after all?
More Seriously, its the rough and tumble of business, but you would like to see things handled with more respect.

At the end of the day, this just suck’s all the way around. Suzuki continues to further blacken it’s eye.
Gave no heads up? Welcome to corporate America.

First couple of times it's a shock, but after a while you learn to read the signs and see it coming. But not once have I or anyone I know been given a heads up

I have heard that the Yoshimura engines werent performing like they wanted. The US Yoshimura and the Japanese Yoshimura are not even selling the same exhausts. The Japanese looks way tricker. We get the wackass Alpha T and the rest of the world has the beautiful R11 exhaust. This should be a wake up call to the US Yoshimura group; you arent just going to get all of Suzuki’s race business just because you bought the Yoshimura name.

There was a lot that went into this and I can tell you that they didnt all find out by press release and many factors played into this decision. There is a lot history shared between these companies and to suggest anything but a good business decision was made is wrong. Yoshimura will still be part Suzuki one way or another. Our famalies go back almost 100 years....
Thats news to us at Yoshimura

I'm gonna throw this out there.

From having a pretty good idea of where both companies are and what budgets are like these days...

This was a decision that's saving Suzuki money. That means (& I'm guessing here) that Yosh needed more money to keep the trucks on the road, the poeple in the race shop and all the rest of it...more money than Suzuki wanted to pay; so, budgetary decisions were made. Someone-else got the gig.

There's way fewer sportbikes being sold nowdays versus 10 years ago. No average joe wants to spend $15-20k on a replica racer. Shoot, even when they were $10k people weren't anywhere near the bikes' limits. Standard bikes and adventure bikes have some serious horsepower nowdays, and they don't force your back into a pretzel shape.

I agree its gotten really bad, I remember everyone looking forward to the Daytona 200 being live on network TV and them having to start in two waves with so many riders and seeing Scott Russel fall and break off a foot peg and still come through the pack and win. People who think MX is drying up need to look at road racing as its almost non existent .

For what it's worth, it was my understanding that Suzuki and Yoshimura had a long-term contractual agreement. (As in, "LONG-LONG-term.") I have no idea what happened to the MotoAmerica team, but I would be willing to bet this is not the last we have seen of the Suzuki/Yosh partnership. Maybe Big E can fill us in when it is OK to talk about it.

According to his Instagram josh has no plans moving forward. Yosh commented that maybe the two of them should get together and do something. I believe Toni has a contract with suzuki so he may be getting the superbike ride with team hammer, I just hope they keep Jake Lewis around. He lost his yosh seat to Toni when he got injured and John and Chris stepped up and made space for him at team hammer and he’s been there ever since. I really hope that continues.
Id look for the new team to be Jake Lewis and as a surprise Sean Dylan Kelly moving up from supersport. That's the new trend, find a fast young 600 rider and move them up early and hope they just adapt naturally. Its worked for the likes of Bradley Ray (BsCool Toprak Razgatlıoğlu (WSBK) Fabio Quartararo (MotoGP) etc.

Toprak is definitely a talented rider, not thrilled with how Kawasaki treated him during the 8hrs but there is plenty of speculation regarding that. Nobody saw Fabio hitting the ground running like he did on a GP bike, it was assumed he would be atleast a season just to come to terms with it. Let alone challenging Marquez all the while never making a single change to the setup.

Sean is fast but John and Chris aren’t ones to follow trends, they have groomed to many riders the right way to take a chance like that. I think team hammer would be better served moving fong to the superbike and Sean to the stock1000 class. Fong was very competitive on his stock1000 zx10 the other year against the superbikes, on a proper superbike I think he has what it takes between the ears to win. Either way I’m not sure where that leaves Lewis, maybe westby has the funding to field another bike and he can go there. To many riders and not enough seats

hopefully Yosh can work a deal with Westby to possibly field a second bike for Herrin. Exhaust supplier already and a well run outfit. Bobby would be a good pick on a proper bike, he showed what he could do on an outdated Duc 848 years ago.

Jake won’t be riding for the team. Really bummed for him. It’s going to be Tony and Josh.

It was along term relationship ... 41 years. As mush as I know Yoshimura R&D (USA) is out. Yoshimura Japan will still work with Suzuki Japan.

The team is done. The crew are going their separate ways. Not sure what is going to happen with the race shop, there are a few ideas but nothing in stone yet.
