I heard it's less than 10% at Hooters*.

Well they also knew already roczen was gone by that point so it isnt like they were likely to win again.
Extending that logic, the team would need to win the championship every single year to be worth continuing.

Well when the team goes from having one of the best to nobody even a podium threat, little hard to secure a sponsor id say. It was a unique situation.
How were Tickle who had multiple podiums for the team that season and Bogle who produced 2 moto wins and an overall win for the team not even podium threats? Why were they allowed to stand on the podium multiple times without even threatening it first?

No sponsors?!?!? Guess coy Gibbs bank account?!?!?
Brings to memory a certain individual on PulpMX saying "Da Da", quite often.

That aside, I really hope JGR can keep on keeping on. The sport needs such Teams, and, with the oft touted importance of SX, it's so bloody strange that such a Team can't seem to be able to get good backing / sponsorship.

Hey Guy, is it possible to give a thumbs up and a thumbs down at the same time?

So I heard JBone say they were talking with Pirelli. Are they running those this season?

This is like the last couple seasons of the walking dead. Funding keeps getting cut, the stars keep leaving, and you just have to wonder when it is going to mercifully come to an end.

This is going to be a kick ass season for JGR.

Glad they are going racing. Don’t know which coast Alex is riding on the 250 but if he does the west, they should put him on a 450 for some of the east rounds. Sending a semi out on the road for one rider doesn’t make sense to me on multiple levels but it’s Coy’s money, so I hope It works out for them in terms of attracting a sponsor and Joey staying healthy.

and how fortunate we are for that. Yet the same people who whine about the sport not growing, come on here talking shit.

Did Suzuki get the memo that the recession was 11 years ago?
I would image it has more to do with the huge amount of budget Suzuki is putting towards their Moto GP program.

Joey went 2-10-2 tonight in Paris on a new bike. A stock bike with pipe, graphics, and suspension. The bike is fine and it suits his riding style perfect. He rides very far forward on the bike in an upright position and turns 100% with the front tire. The Suzuki is the perfect bike for his riding style, looking forward to 2020 SX I think he will surprise some of us.

The Suzuki is a good bike, period. Because it is cheaper and doesn’t have all the frills for an extra $3000, it gets placed behind the more expensive models and people equate that to a shit bike. A factory 450, any brand, is a fantastic bike. I think this Joey and JGR match is perfect. Both a ride and team that want to prove themselves.

And because I don’t know where to post this, what the hell was Justin Hill doing if he feels better now (two weeks on a new bike coming off an injury) than he did at A1 last year? I stand by my statement that he just says what he thinks people want to hear, none of it ever makes sense.

Yeah hill will ride good in these offseason races and make people talk. Then shit the bed when it matters. There’s no doubt he is one of the gifted guys on a bike out there but at their level that’s not enough anymore.

I hope you are right - it would be cool to see Alex on a 450. Also - I think you put Alex on a 450 for outdoors and find a rider for 250 outdoors and put him on a performance based contract.

Unless they have Tickle coming in Feb???

I got to ride a RMZ 450 a couple weeks ago. I agree it's a good bike. I don't understand why it gets bashed so much. Took a little time getting used to it but, I think with more time in the saddle I would've been even more comfortable on it.

What happened to Joey in the last moto? Did he get Friese'd? He was behind Friese and then he must have went down or something because he dropped in the timing to last.

Suzuki continues its downswing in Mx while KTM continues its upswing. Its just same kind of change that happens everywhere in life. Different companies come to different conclusions and plans continue to change year after year.

Lets just enjoy our sport and let particular companies/brands do whatever their quarterly profits and longer term "strategies" tell them to do.

Its just so amazing to me how JGR Nascar team is one of, if not the most, dominant forces in the sport and has been for several years and continues to be. The motocross team is mid pack at its best ever. Weird.

Just realized how ugly Savatgy's start technique is compared to 99% of the other guys on the line.

The rider in mx is way more vital than a driver in nascar. The skill to achieve wins in mx are so much harder.

So they will only have one 250 rider?

Man they have to be on a tight budget. Why can't they find a decent 250 rider out there that could bring a sponsor to fund the other coast?
I think the teams do that, not the rider
