This may be an easier answer for an old school guy like myself, than a kid of today.

But, I'd rather have 3 outdoor titles, than a supercross title.

If you could have one or the other, which would you choose?

World Title is better than both. But in the U.S. the sx title for sure.

I would personally value the outdoor title more as a core fan. I would financially value the SX title however, from a $ and sponsorship angle.

LOL no. 3 outdoor titles, for sure, based on fans and pride. For $$$, supercross title, maybe?

I thought he said 3 sx titles as well of course 3 outdoor titles are better than 1 sx title, but that's a dumb comparison. Make it 3 sx titles

If a rider has 3 SX titles but no MX titles, I’d consider it a hell of a feat but I’d still think a rider with 3 outdoors titles is the more accomplished guy. SX is more glamorous but outdoors shows what these guys are really made of.

SX means more money so I’d go with that. For prestige I would take one World title over a dozen National titles

I'd take National 450 title first, then it's a tossup between a 450SX and MX1 title. Just my opinion.

I’d rather be more like MC. 7 SX Titles and 1 outdoor title.

Fix the stupid title. Everyone would rather have 3 450 SX titles than ANY other 450 title financially, but I'm not sure what you're trying to ask.

Id take the SX title over 3 outdoors.

Im a die hard fan.. But the intensity and feeling of winning in Las Vegas and taking a championship under the lights in a sold out stadium would be a feeling you wouldn't be able to compare it with. The celebrations and roar from the crowds is a whole lot different then taking an outdoor title.
Plus, SX title is going to bring in better sponsor deals and $$.

It isn't. Back in the Decoster, Mikkola, Aberg, etc. days for sure. Not now.

Supercross is bigger than both the MXGP series and the AMA outdoors for good reason. It's a much better more marketable race series.

I am old school, at this point I really don't want to trudge around in the mud or fight along the fence line to get a vantage point where I can see 1/5th of the track. Going into a stadium, especially a domed stadium is much more comfortable. I can take my wife and she has a great time, they have actual restrooms in stadiums. Spectators can see the whole track and some of the stadiums actually have good food. Like the outdoors the racing can be incredibly intense. I really enjoy supercross.

There is so much more prestige to winning a supercross title. It is by far the most important off road racing title in the world. Then again, winning a supercross title and an outdoor title trumps all.

It’s also 3x the work & 3x the risk, so that’s a moot point really..

I think your perspective would be totally different if you raced professionally for a living VS being a fan. Webb's response of "I could care less about outdoors," suggests that there's a pretty large difference in payout, at least at KTM.

Outdoor National titles show the caliber of rider MUCH more than a SX title. So much harder.

SX is not even close to motocross so you can't compare in that way. SX is mostly jumping and who has more courage to hang it out for a short period of time.

You don't have to be in great shape. You only ride one 20 minute race. It is rarely ever hot and never rough. Not even comparable events. SX is a show. MX is a sport. Why do you think these guys do SX only???

Three MX titles in a row are better than MC's seven SX titles any day in my view. Maybe not the same dollarwise but we are not talking about that aspect. And I put a National title above the GP title still. Roczen and MM25 do also.

Supercross title hands down. Cool it would be nice to get a outdoor title too but the SX championship is the big one.

Using the three most recent Champions for this question, who's career would you prefer to date? Tomac's, Webb's or Anderson's? No question for me, Tomac's 3 MX titles is harder to achieve despite his inability to crack the 450 Supercross championship so far.

Anderson looks the happiest and actually enjoys himself racing.
As well as a SX title beside his name, Travelled the world wining racers and a healthy bank account. A career locked in for once he retires with husky as well.
Kinda seems Anderson has set him self up better then any other rider.

Id take his lifestyle and career then any ones any day.

I disagree.

Supercross isn't just jumping, that would be straight rythm. Supercross requires precise timing, incredible corner speed, ability to jump or skim whoops, etc. All of these skills can be applied to the outdoors as well but mastering both disciplines puts the rider far ahead of his peers. The skills the supercross riders must have to be able to do what they do is incredible.

Just a show? Bah, It's hardcore racing at it's finest which is why it is more popular than outdoor motocross. This is coming from someone that has been to a lot of outdoor races throughout my life. I still do enjoy the outdoors and mad respect for the riders but I like supercross more at this point.

Thats why the gates arent full and riders such as roczen musquin and the lawrences come to the USA to race in front of a bigger audience and for more money right?

You'll find out at the mxon why the world title is more valuable. The riders are faster.
