You mention the price of an Alta, but what was the original price of an Alta, like $13-14k. Then when they weren't selling as many as they expected they lowered the price, most likely in a last ditch effort to make sales. It didn't work.
I stand by my assumption of a $6k range for an e50, my lowest guess is $5,499. People have mentioned Oset and Alta, but are they a Big 6 Manufacturer, no! KTM e50 will be more, because they can charge more. Like it or not people will pay for it too.
To me it is crazy that a KTM 50 is $4500. I can't see paying more than 3k for a 50. I'm not broke, far from it, but I'm not stupid with money either. KTM wont ever catch me buying a 50 for that much.

I would still be keen to get my hands on one for my 8 years old, at least we could go practice down the local park without to much notice, well until the ruts form
Pit Row
Example: If you’re ordering only 50 swingarms at a time because you sell 100 bikes per year your price is going to be extremely high, but if you have the volume to order 100, 200, maybe even 1000 at a time when you’re moving 1000 bikes per year your price now drops way down.
Get it? Once they lost the Harley funding they just couldn’t hold on until they reached that point, and Harley definitely didn’t do they any favors with the deal. Bike sales were definitely not a problem, as anyone close to the company will tell you.
- The Netherlands 5,090 euros
- Belgium 4,989 euros
So you can only assume it will be less than that in the US...
KTM SX 50 costs 3999 € 4350 dollars.
Should be less in other countries as Finland is most expensive country.

This bike will be nearly as capable of anything that the Husky and KTM e50 bikes can do, and it's under $1,000.00 add a kelly controller and it would be faster than the husky version.
I bought the 36v version for my son last Christmas and he has been putting it through the paces. I just upgraded it last week to 52v with a battery from luna cycles and the 24.0 oset adult controller. He can ride it pretty hard now for well over an hour.
To a KTM or Husky is a joke
