How do I see some of you getting brand new bikes for 9k or under otd... I'm in the market for a 2020 yz450 and its almost like a get laughed at for wanting my otd price anywhere near the MSRP... Yes, I'm in California and I know thats not helping me but I seem to see people all the time, even in California, getting new bikes for under MSRP. I feel like thats not asking too much.
I feel your pain. I'm having a hard time here in AZ as well. I think I missed the boat on a 2019 YZ 125/ 250

I could only stomach doing bike sales for about 6 months after seeing some of the things dealershis do to EARN the nickname STEALERSHIP.
To anyone thinking of financing a bike you should really try to do your homework, if you can I insist on obtaining financing on your own ...the best way would be to join a credit union. Youll get the best rates and wont be put in revolving credit loans that are literally 100% front loaded. If you dont know, "Fronr Loading" is something dealerships especially in the powersports industry will try as hard as possible to lock you into where the loan is designed with placing ALL the profit from the maturity of the loan in the first months of the months of financing and youll have a principal that goes down $10 a month paying upwards of $300 a month for a bike pmt.
Pay Attention To This bec while i dont speak for all dealers .... i promise you an overwhelming majority do this and its What used to really get me upset and eventually made me happy to quit doing sales. Locking uninformed customers into 99% front end loaded revolving ccreditloan very single time anyone with flawless credit getting approved by dealership finance companies theu'd be approved from .99% to 3.99% and the sales manager or finance manager mark up a customers financing from .99% to 7.99% and 3.99 to 12.99% and tell me i had to sell it that way. Customers would look at me ķò% - 12.99%???? Ive seen a 3.99 get marked up to 17.99%!!
Its not right imo and i couldnt be a part of that. I know a lot of dealers do thill
I dont care if revealing that upsets anyone on here that work in sales, it needs to be out out there if it goes on as often as i saw it. For anlnyone thinking of buying a bike through dealer finance programs , try as hard as you can to get your own financing before you get locked into a shitty situation
I guess that's why my Brother is so successful. He sells Polaris and Kawasaki. His price is plus tax and a $30 doc fee.
He's one of the biggest Polaris dealers in the state. He sells a ton of SxS's in a town of 6000 people. Still does it old school and has lots of repeat customers.
Financing through synchrony financial(my local dealer uses them) wouldnt net the dealer more money.. other than a small bonus for getting someone to sign up for a loan maybe. Synchrony would make the money off the interest and the MSRP amount would go to the dealer.
