I noticed after this last race, the Noren and JGR fans were a bit quieter in regards to the Suzuki.

Pffft...
After spending all of 2017 & 2018 on the two -DIFFERENT- RMZs...yes, the 2 bikes are quite different.
And after reading the ABSOLUTELY STUPID SHIT that ignorant fools have posted about a bike they seem to KNOW NOTHING ABOUT...
I’m gonna BUY a 2020 RMZ & do a build.
A sensible build.
Just like I did in 2017 & 2018.
And we’ll see what it gets done for the $ versus all the haters & with their designer scooters & their cool guy graphics and hip-hop bling.

Last year the 2018 RMZ450 was the BY FAR least expensive/most cost effective 450 motocrosser I’ve ridden/raced for AN ENTIRE YEAR...
Ever.

I’m jus’ knowin’...

After JGR just got it's best finish of the season?

Possibly both.

With the work that Larry and Jamey have done (Twisted Development/Suzuki Am. Program), I might need to build myself an A-Mart Replica...complete with the “Reeeeeeeeeeeeed Buuuuuuuud!” look!

Yes, and that's great for the team and for Noren. But it was one race, that's it. His second race, while respectable, didn't go quite as good. For some people, the Suzuki works fine, and for others it doesn't. Sorry to poke the sacred cow, but the Suzuki got last place in the vitalmx 450 shootout, Keefer's shootout, Cycle World, Dirt Rider, and Motocross Action Magazine.

I rode in the Vital Shootout.
I rated it last.
There’s sooooo much more to the story when you read what we wrote about the bike.

The Suzuki is an amazing bike for the money.

Was referring to Martin's finish at Redbud.

This Suzuki is very competitive in any track in NC. Turns on a dime and doesn’t feel heavy when riding it.

Watching the Mammoth races there were pretty good numbers of Suzuki's in the moto's, they won several classes too.

If anyone thinks they'll be faster on any one of the different bikes, I can assure you that each one can go faster than you. I was humbled on a ride day where we jumped between a 250F, 250, and an old KX100. On a natural terrain track I was about the same speed on all 3 bikes... Human talent runs out long before any modern bikes performance.

I have an RM250 wife’s got a RM85 BW and i ride both only really faster on the 250 when there are long straights. The big bike turns great but the 85 is like throwing a bmx around Smile

I was once fastish now just getting old an I know when I hit the ground I don’t bounce like once did Tongue

I know I’d be the same speed on any bike.....

Lorettas is in a few weeks, in 250B there are only 2 out of 42 entries on Suzuki. But both will be in top 5. Same in Schoolboy 2

yet people don't buy them, because they are seen as technically behind,

Suzuki has shat all over their long term dealers, with lack of development across the whole motorcycle range in the last 10 years,
no side by side which is one of the fastest growing market,
no 2 strokes,
mx bikes well behind in modern features,
no update on the kids bike range, (trail and MX)
no enduro bikes,
it will take a long time to come back from where they are now,

the 08 RMZ450 was the most modern mx bike of its time, that was the last time Suzuki lead with anything offroad,

Everyone craps on Suzuki, BUT since 2005 they have won 8 more titles in the big class than Honda and 7 more than Yamaha.

That was three years ago. The other bikes are better, and the proof is in the pudding when you look at the results of the top pros.

Well, Chad Reed said in an interview that whether or not he was on JGR in 2020, he wanted to be on a Suzuki. He’s probably the pickiest guy out there, so that says a lot.

I've had 10 of them. Other than an older project 125 or 250 I wouldn't go near one right now.

I know this is a totally dumb thought but it's crossed my mind occasionally when thinking about suzuki...
In todays era, does color choice play a factor? We are all huge fans of the sport here and in the "know," but it's easy to forget that we aren't the majority here. Hell, you go to a local OHV or SVRA and the majority of people there MAYBE catch one or two races a year on TV. I experience that first hand all the time trail riding or riding California SVRA's when I meet up with my dad and I hate to say, but the majority of riders out there are casual leisurely riders. So it always makes me wonder if these days people are turned off by the less masculine colorway of a suzuki. Which by the way I think is a bit absurd because I think the new suzuki's are some of the best looking bikes out there.
I like the yellow personally, I think it's more of a reputation and people talking bad about them

WRONG!
If Eli & Kenny signed a Suzuki contract they’d be on the podium. It’s not about the bike.

History, son!!! Suzuki hadn’t won anything in 20 years. RC signs with them and started reading off titles. KTM had never even won a race in the 450 class. Dungey signs with them and we know how that turned out. Reed is only a couple years younger than Jesus and he made it on the podium and ran up front last year. So, if you put Tomac, Musquin, Roczen etc. on today’s Suzuki, they are still going to running where they are now. How many hole shots did last years Suzuki get??
