explanation was he accelerated off the track.

My personal opinion is he gained a bigger advantage at Lakewood.

I just think there is to much left to be inconsistent with the rules.

The rule needs to be better

I think it’s was a fair call , he checked up at Lakewood. He did not this time , and was on the gas hard as well

He also got pushed off the track this time vs Lakewood and nobody (Track worker/Official) was there.

Lakewood he was very sportsmanlike and made sure he was behind Cooper and kinda waited a second before he got on the gas. The one with AMart he had the bit between his teeth and was gas on. I think it was just a matter of more of a pack of racers around and the intensity was up.

I really don't think AC will make a fuss over it.

I don't think they penalized him for the incident where Ferrandis pushed him off the track.
The second time he entered right when Crown came into the turn. Had Crown taken the inside line they would have probably collided.

You can't have a clear rule for every situation. Every situation is different, that's why there are impartial officials that make these decisions.

Adam is my guy but I have zero issues with the call. It's gotta be more consistent across the board.

Both situations looked lame to me... let them race! It’s not like he cut the course on purpose, it was a racing incident and he kept racing I would have done the same thing!!!

This happens all the time, and they Rarely issue any sort of penatly...

The proper way to fix this is to re enter where you LEFT.... But that won't float with the factories.. so... What we have is this mess....

If that’s the case then technically every single person who went to the left side of the yellow markers at Southwick should also be docked. From a technical standpoint there is no difference. Also in theory ac lost time by going off the track based off the gap between himself and the person behind him.

You can’t enter the track at the base of a downhill jump slower than everyone else. This is like merging onto a highway.

I thought he should have let up and entered the track right after Crown (he looked back and saw him, so he knew where he was). He wouldn't have lost much time doing that and would have easily passed him back while on the track. But he got on the gas while off the track, so I can see where the penalty was given. He was given a gift anyway with Martin.

He did absolutely nothing wrong with Alex Martin incident. Zero. It’s political because of the cooper incident.
Still watching race to see if there was another incident because that one nothing was wrong on opening lap.

Nothing wrong at all. He went off track and came back on safe and was able to keep speed because he was already going fast and it was a clean nice area.

Brian, I've said since this started, line the track with armco, if you leave the track, you will most likely be "leaving the track".

Quite the afternoon. My riding was subpar in the first moto no doubt, and man was I a squirrel that first lap! I got pushed off the track after the 4th turn and continued to gas it, as I did not want to get ran over by all the dudes sending it behind me when I jumped back on. According to the AMA/Jeff Canfield, that, along with my super sketchy moment after the finish line + quote “the incident with Nichols” (?) got me docked a couple positions. I am cool with being penalized and being held accountable when it’s warranted, the only thing I struggle to understand is the lack of consistency in the rule. As I’m sure you guys have seen plenty of guys in the last couple weeks pin it when off the track with no action being taken. You guys know I am not one for excuses, all I am saying is everybody should be held to the same standard! With that being said, I’m stoked to turn it around with a solid 2nd moto and 2nd O/A on the day. Being able to perform in front of that crowd, with all the energy and enthusiasm, is truly special. It’s something I certainly don’t take for granted. Thank you guys for the great day!

You would have to go backwards on the track to re enter where they went off. A head on collision is way more dangerous than entering to fast.

Adam got screwed today. He did absolutely nothing wrong in any incident. Baffles me anybody thinks anything is warranted at all.

There was nothing to penalize him for. It’s the stupidest damn thing I’ve ever seen anyone penalized for. The incident with Nichols was just riding incident. Went over the rut.

The finish line was he went off track and had to come back on somewhere.

How could anyone possibly think there was anything he did that warranted any penalty.

He held it wide open and jumped back on the track almost cleaning out Joey Crown, How can you possibly think that's ok?

First trip off the track looked okay. He had to at least accelerate a bit to drop back in.

Second trip off the track was probably a violation, and like he said it's fine as long as they are calling it consistently.

The only real problem that I see is that he mentioned that part of the reasoning given was the 'Nichols incident' and that'd be BS. If that had any bearing on whether to penalize him, then he would have a legitimate complaint.

No issue if the penalty was for the incident with Crown, but if it was about the first incident with Dylan than it's BS. They also better be consistent and enforce the same penalty for everyone that does this from this point forward, 250 and 450 class, but doubt that will happen...

Maybe just maybe the promoters should work with mx sport and have safe places for the riders to return to the track safely. If they jump the banner then you penalize them like today.

That’s exactly the point. You want to dock Adam points or whatever fine but 34 did the same offense last week and they didn’t bat an eye. Justin blasts off the track the week after Adams corner “cutting” incident and not a word. Adam seems to be all over the place but that’s another story.

the fact is that there seems to be zero consistency in the issuance of penalties.

By docking him two spots the penalty added up being roughly 25 seconds

Was that off track excursion worth 25 seconds? Some say yes some say no. I think we all agree on the fact that there needs to be standardization
