...and what do you do with your old ones? It's not worth it to me to sell them for $10 on CL, so I just toss them or donate them to the local track if they want them.

I send them overseas. They come back smelling like strawberry Astroglide, but that’s better than that nasty, sweaty funk they had before.

Can’t say I’ve had this problem. Wash them. Air them out. Get a boot dryer.

Tennis shoes, definitely. But my boots wear out too quick on the outside before the insides get permanently funky.

Try a different brand of boot. Some companies use materials that make a good home for stinky bacteria/fungi.

I've been running Gaerne SG12 for the past few pairs, no stink, but I don't have stinky feet.
They last more than a year.

Before that I had decades of Alpinestars, no stink.

My knee pads stink like old gym socks if I don't wash them and so does anything with that type of cushion material.
I run the Fox Titan knee pads and have heard the Fox boots stink too.

I just shoved my socks I just wore in 5 rounds of golf in a row from my 20 year old foot joy golf shoes in my buddies face and told him. See my wife's right, i think my shit dont stink. He didn't appreciate it like I did but he is jealous. Lol
I have boots with soles totally worn through and they still smell like new leather.

Throw them on the compost when they start to stink.

You won't believe what shrooms grow on them. Evil

Freezing will kill the bacteria and smell. They did it on Myth Buster's.

Had a pair of AStars that would fill full of water in a dust bowl...i poured half a box in each boot, shook it around, and let sit overnight to a few days....then vacuum them out after pouring the majority out. Worked great. The only thing that worked better was getting a pair of SIDIs.

The stuff is magic. No thanks required, just give it a try.

My Tech 7's were honking, I used Fabreeze Thai Orchid which smells lovely. I just got a new pair of SG12's so going to make an effort to not have them stinky. All else fails I'll charge localrider £20 to give them a good seeing to.

I ditched my old pair of Fox Instincts, cause they smelled really bad, like cat piss bad, but it seems to be a common issue with those boots. There is not a single trick I haven't tried to get rid of it, nothing worked.
Switched to Sidi's, no more stink and they seem to hold up way better.

Drop all the fancy stuff, put them in the freezer for 24 hours. That will kill the bacteria

Fill washer with lid open hot water. Add favorites detergents. Add gear let soak overnight. Take out gear that will get ruined. Finish cycle. Or if you have a swimming pool. Throw in pool for a day.

Buy a boot dryer, and use it after your ride. Makes a difference.

Top tip, get some good quality cat litter then fill the end of your Mrs tights, tie up so they look like a sausage then after riding and washing boots put one in each boot. Drys them out a treat and no more smelly boots 😁

Was a tip given to me by pro snowboarder but works just as well with Moto

Are you kidding me? Throw them out because they stink?! After I spent $400 on boots I don't give flying F what they smell like.
