So Eli was the best guy on the weekend is what you are saying? Consistency wins races and championships.

Good win for Eli, not his best track for sure and it seems another cool race. When it gets faster and hotter Eli does too. Still waiting to see if T-rex Kenny is ok with the heat this year, will be interesting. Great to see both getting to clash again on form, 2013 between them was hecitc AF.

Next weekend will be VERY interesting. 93 degrees and high humidity in Jacksonville.

I’m actually starting to not look forward to spectating lol!
Then Southwick the week after. Temps have been starting to get consistently hotter in NE. Hot day in the sand with be a test for Kenny. We know Tomac will kill it there

Tomac closed the gap to 4 seconds. A couple more laps I’m pretty confident Eli would have got him
30 +2 to get the job done, and he got beat in moto 2.

You really can't give either guy the edge. I mean they're tied in points and both have 2 wins! I think the weather and the grind is what's gonna seperate the two and no one is more fit than Tomac

Exactly! ET was still under pressure, whilst KR was under no pressure at all and backed it down.

How can people not see this?
Looking at lap times between Tomac and Roczen, they are very similar, only difference is Tomac was behind traffic the entire time. If Tomac wasn’t stuck...

Do you remember that the no 94 was behind ET on the 1st lap? Kenny lost the O/A, but dusted ET in the 2nd moto.

If and buts + shoulda coulda woulda = not shit in dirt bike racing.

KR’s corner speed was unreal that second Moto, could tell he is comfier on those settings compared to Moto 1.

Definitely Kenny gained confidence in that second moto. That was an amazing ride.
Not sure how much is that going to help him though. The next two tracks have Eli Tomac written all over them - Florida and Southwick

Ya this is a ridiculous discussion, Kenny passed him to go front. They started together! For once though Tomac's consistency gave him the win

The win tiebreaker rule only applies in determining the series champion.

AMA Pro rules:

3.19: Numbers and Number Plates

a. Number Plate Color Requirements:

v.250 Class Points Leader: Red plates, white numbers.

vi. 450 Class Points Leader: Red plates, white numbers.

vii. In the case of a tie during the season, both riders will display the red plate.

KR94 practices in the Florida heat and humidity. Tomac does not. Will the heat really be an advantage for Tomac? Guess we will see.

Kenny passes people like JS7 used to. Unreal. If he keeps doing that Eli may not win this title as he struggles to pass some riders (JA21).

If Eli had passed Anderson and Zacko just as fast as Kenny did he might have challenged him for the win but he did not. I thought Eli looked more tired at the end than KR94 did. That is what following a guy around does. You work much harder and it ruins your flow.

Not a great win for Tomac when he can't even win one moto and gets flat out beaten by his biggest rival. You could tell the way he looked at the end. A good win though.

High Point is probably the least "Tomac" track out of the 12 rounds, along with Unadilla. If he can go 3-2 and gain points on Ken at High Point I think he's going to be very satisfied with the weekend.

That's why I think it was a great win for him. Not his best track but still got the overall, red plate and gained points on Kenny. It was a great win.

Exactly. Prob his worst track. Marv beat him a moto and stalked him the entire other moto last yr. Meanwhile Tomac crushed him at every other track. He just get stronger and faster as the season progresses. He's just getting started

This is true. Very true. Great win for Eli for sure, but do not forget Ken is very capable. Eli has to get good starts the remaining rounds because Ken is very capable, and his confidence seems high right now which will carry him a long ways even if he really is dealing with some sort of sickness. At this point though I am doubting that he really is or was so sick, more likely he was just recovering from hard work and was using that line to try shake his competitions confidence.
This will probably go down to the last moto to decide the championship. It will probably depend on who is most error free. It should be fun to watch.

Yes he did, but he had to to hold off Musquin for the final 4 laps after getting passed and gapped in moto 1. Tomac was pretty much the fastest rider at every other race last season besides the Red Bud debacle, which he was leading moto 1 by 10 seconds before everything went to hell.

I think Roczen missed a key opportunity to gain points on Tomac yesterday. The next 4 rounds are tracks with a sand element to them that Tomac usually rails on.

Do you remember that the no 94 was behind ET on the 1st lap? Kenny lost the O/A, but dusted ET in the 2nd moto.

Funny you bring that up, I just watched TGO The Formula this morning. What a battle until the end. Struck me how unshakeable Villo was. He bike broke on him one race and ate up his point lead, first turn pile up at Steel City, but he never stopped grinding

Aak a racer if 6 seconds is a considerable gap, when gains are commonly measured in tenths.

Eli SHOULD do it...he's the fastest when he wants to be. KR CAN do it because he's consistent and is riding within his limits. Anderson MIGHT do it if he can keep his head out of his backside. I'd really like to see Blake and Marvin step it up. Zach is everybody's spoiler. Good season.

Kenny could have had a 5 minute gap to 2nd and the ET fanboys would still make excuses for why, rather than just admit that he got bested in the moto. He won the O/A, so obviously was the best of the 2, not sure why it is so hard to admit that he can get beat without this and that...

Ken has been battling an unknown illness since "Limegate". Says it is why his SX performance suffered. Maybe he has it sorted out.
