Cooper is smart and knows he needs some kind of image or brand. He picked Bradshaw II. It's worked for him.

Everyone should be happy that Cooper was blunt about AC's mistake or "crack"...it creates more tension and will result in more bar banging and drama on the track. This is exactly what we need. Who likes to watch guys pussy foot around each other on the track when passing? I want to see more aggressive riding, and you can bet when AC goes 450 he'll remember this...no love lost.

So if you are an AC fan and hate Webb for saying this, you can look forward to the day when AC is reeling in Cooper and gets on his rear wheel. This scenario will happen on a 450...

Will AC be nice or will he respond with a jab? Time will tell.

He just won the 450SX championship, he probably just wanted to celebrate and not answer a bunch of questions.
He said what was on his mind, yeah it wasn't all wrapped up with a nice pretty bow, but he got his point across.
It isn't like this is Adams first time making errors under pressure.

Adam is a good guy with a ton of talent, he will be OK.

Webb has an ugly history with Roczen and AC, and a few Nancies around here sound exactly like what they are complaining about in this thread. For some of you guys who hang around these forums as much as you do...it's a damn shame you can't put 2 and 2 together.
Aside from Cooper dating Kenny's Ex and the unfair AC vs Coop rivalry forced upon them (which Coop nor AC have actually acted on or done anything to propogate) What "ugly history" is there? You can not like Coop's demeanor, however I have yet to see Coop do anything wrong or "ugly" on the track.

Their relationship appears to be fine.. This photo was taken a few races after the "gunshot" gesture Cooper made...

LOve this photo, especially considering their history.

How in the world are those 2 instances the same as ACs? Lol RJ had NO control over Storbeck landing on him and Langston had no control over his eye getting cancer. AC HAD control over what lines he was taking and how close he was getting to the tuff blocks tho. Those were not good comparisons lol
You took the words right out of my keyboard.

"He cracked....I didn't" (followed with a grin).
"I don't give a shit about outdoors right now" (laughing).
How many people were triggered, and how much contraversy did this create? A lot.
Coop Dog OWNED everybody in the 450 class this year. Both mentally and on the track.
I think this is his nature to some degree, but I also think he's going extra far with it to brand himself..if he is, it's brilliant.
For years we've heard the same exact "for sure I'm super stoked just trying to be consistent and ride my own race" shit that you knew you were gonna hear. Dungey was a great champion and Marv is a badass, but they are boring as hell in every way. I almost think it's intentional by Webb and he's branding hmself. Part Villopoto- part Damon Bradshaw (as others in this thread have compared him to). I think it's awesome and I can't help but enjoy post race press conferences a lot more. Baggett is fun to listen to and willing to clown around some. I like seeing some new characters and hearing some new stuff. The only reason I watch post race press conferences is because I'm hoping somebody says some outrageous, unscripted shit. I can't see any other reason why I'd want to watch one. Love or hate Webb, he's got people stirred up. Riders, media, and fans alike. That's good I think.

Webb never got the attention that AC did in amateurs, and ended up on Star Racing, not Pro Circuit. He was in AC's shadow, and here AC is still laboring away for a 250 title and Cooper is 450 Champ. Pretty crazy.
Just because he didn't have the results of AC doesn't mean he didn't have the attention. He was Honda/Red Bull's golden boy for 4-5 years. They even had the CRF150 Cup at the nationals which was basically an exhibition for Webb. Then he went to Star Racing Yamaha to transition into the pro's where he, or more accurately his fans, continued to push this narrative that he doesn't get enough attention and respect. All the while his teammate who received far less attention than Webb was spanking him for titles. That underdog/chip-on-his-shoulder false narrative always bugged me. He is the Baker Mayfield of moto.

He was literally the poster child for the crf150. They branded a motorcycle with the dudes name. Doesn’t happen much in this sport...I wouldn’t say he didn’t get attention.

The man can say whatever he wants but cracking under pressure is not a factual statement. AC was riding comfortable in 5th (4th?) and cruising. He wasn't riding over his head, panicking, all over the place, hitting the rev limiter and swapping. A mistake happened and all these riders make mistakes.

Just like Webb made a mistake in the first corner of a heat race and a red flag saved his ass from going to the LCQ and getting a shit gate pick for the main at another round. Cracking under pressure had nothing to do with that.

He just wanted to punch someone in the face while they were down. 100% Cooper does not give the interview Adam gave if that happens to him. He goes in to hiding like a turtle.

We'll never know what would or would not have happened if there wasn't a red flag. But I'd be willing to bet that Webb would not have went to LCQ, he would have charged hard to get a decent gate pick. Personally, I was bummed that the red flag happened I was looking forward to seeing him put on a charge.

Crazy that these two battled on minis and are the same age yet Webb is in his third year on the 450 and just won the premier SX Championship while AC is in his 5th (I think?) year on the 250 and has yet to win anything.

Regardless of what gate he got for the main I was hoping it would shake things up a bit. Instead it just ended the season that much sooner.

Thanks for the post. The ruts on the rhythm sections freak me out.
Sometimes when you ride below a percentage you are used to, ?happens.
Anyway, Ferrandis is only 2 years older than AC. And in any sport, there is always next year.

Congrats to Will Hahn and the rest of Star Racing Yamaha.
Ferrandis rode awesome.

100% Cooper does not give the interview HE gave if Adam was sitting beside him either..

(I don't know if that got across what I wanted it to haha I'm trying to say he wouldn't have said what he said if Adam was sitting beside him)

That's all well and good, but "Darkside" asked Webb for his opinion, not any of us. And if anyone is qualified to comment on being the Champion by salvaging every situation and avoiding tiny, dire, mistakes, it's Webb. Webb rode the same track as AC that night, after all. Obviously, even if it was for ten thousandths of a millisecond, AC "choked" and took a championship destroying spill. And Webb didn't. Simple as that.

It's called Sportsmanship and class. Given their history, I honestly don't believe Cooper would have shaken KRs hand on the track like that had KR won the SX championship and Webb finished 4th in KRs spot.

Ugly as in drama. The social media stuff. Some stuff that was deleted here.. I was just pointing out there are more obvious reasons for comments made towards those guys than what is thrown around in here. If they are all buddy-buddy, cool. That's news to me.

Have you been watching this year?...I watched Cooper congratulate the other winners on multiple occasions.
