I'd watch SX in the winter because the best seat in the house is on the couch. I'd rather be at a national walking around. As for MXGP I don't leave the lower 48.

No contest. The nats rule baby. Mxgp is great right now with Tony and Jeff but typically it's a well known fact the best come here, and even if herlings is faster than our best, and I'm not sure he is, we have a deeper field, for the simple fact our privateers can make every race. In the gp's there's way too many fly away races for the little guy to make a name for himself. You can say what you want but the states kick ass for Moto. I'd put mxgp ahead of sx though, it is a great series and I'm pumped I get to watch all of it, although sx drags on for me. 17 out and 12 in would be great for me

Lucas Oil Pro Motocross is pretty nice without commercials. SX has too much dead air. But I think in time they'll work out the kinks

Agreed. I don't think he meant it maliciously, but probably would have been best to leave MXGP out of it and not get our foreign Moto bro's involved.

I voted for USA Nats myself. MXGP would be a close second. SX isn't even on my radar.

Impossible to answer. Every year it changes. Depends on who is fit or if there's someone like Herlings who runs away with 95% of the moto wins.
MX2 was great in England when Prado was sitting out. Now not so much. Prado holeshots and is gone

Anybody that thinks the US has the best motocrossers has never seen Cairoli or Herlings ride. Gajser has stepped up his game this year to. If you're not watching MXGP, you're missing some great racing.

So one top guy (which is a contentious label as he only won 2 GPs and never a world championship) moved over since 2012. Its not like they are moving over in droves is it? It's also not the whole story saying Herlings tried to choose Nationals over GPs either. If he had any chance of a world title it wouldn't even be on his mind.

11 years difference in age between those two.Going at it, Hammer and Tongs, and racing for (more) than Sheep Stations.

Gajser by the way, is only around a month and a bit older than Adam Cianciarulo . Tim, is also 2 years younger than Herlings. It's just that he's been around, winning World Championships, for a fair few years now, that I, and I suspect others, tend to forget how young he is. I pay to watch SX, the US Nationals, and MXGP. And, other race series.

SX. tends to be a filler until the GPs start, then I largely lose interest. It's just how it is. I respect / appreciate the riders skills and daring, racing on overgrown, vicious, BMX tracks. Better them than me, that's for effing sure.

A Big part of my losing interst in SX, could be because I get inspired to ride because of the GPs, and am on my bike during the Sundays when the SX is broadcast live here. The US Nationals also loses out to the GPs, but hell, I'm Old and have followed The World Championships since the 60s. The US Nationals are through the Saturday night / Sunday morning for me, so, once again, it tends to interfere with my riding.

All good, to Great , racing, but Motocross, outdoors, especially and predominately, The World Championships, is what is important to me. Everyone is free to prefer what they find more important / interesting to them.

I record supercross every Saturday night. The wife and I watch it every Sunday morning with coffee and breakfast. It’s our thing and I don’t think she would be into the nationals. So I’d have to stay with super cross.

I would rather ride on some national style tracks. Everything around me is too jumpy and more supercrossish. So I do Grand Prix races.

Right now MXGP is super fun to watch. This will be my first year in a while watching nationals.

All of em are great if the racing is good, but IMO the scale of the tracks in the nationals help set it apart for me. Glen Helen will be missed though as that is the grand daddy of em all for sheer size. A lot of micky mouse shit goes on in the GPs which of course has nothing to do with the riders/teams etc and for me I don’t really enjoy the older follow the leader tracks as much, although the last GP was phenomenal but that has more to do with who was going at it. Plus a lot of the build a track anywhere type crap is pretty sub par for who you have racing on them. Of course the nationals could use another sand track though. In conclusion shorten the SX season to 10 rounds and make a 15 race MX sereis with the best tracks in the states and in the rest of the world. We can dream can’t we!

MXGP has upped the game so much in the last 5-10 years.

The Best TV coverage
Paul Malin kicks it, alone or with a co announcer.

SX has been my fav for 20 years, but MXGP has passed it in recent years.

Supercross, only because it's in the winter and I can't ride dirt bikes. I'm a bigger fan if the nationals, they are just to hard to watch for me live as I'm busy riding myself.
