Yep, good to see. He was definitely getting chocked up about it, maybe this is what he needs to give him a little extra motivation for the outdoors.

He was choked up at MXDN too. Pummped for his win at home for sure, has to be a great feeling. I think his motivation is just fine.

It seems to me a lot of the stress he has been feeling is gone. You could see it in how he acted after the finish. Good for him. Nice to see.

He was winning that race without foot pegs and handlebars last night if need be...

Last night was so cool. Once everyone started cheering Tomac just started charging. The noise followed him around the stadium all the way through the main. I am so proud of Colorado coming out strong in the cold and having 50k people going nuts for the local boy. Hope they keep coming back and it gives me chills just thinking about it. Riding on a high all day from it. Man what a great night. I haven't been on vital for a year or so but I had to see if it was noticed or I was just pumped up. Great to know you could hear us on T.V. because that place went off. Ran out of food, some of the beer guys were out and the parking was over flowing. Keep coming back supercross!!

That’s awesome to hear, sounds like you guys had a great night. I literally lol when I read about how it’s just as good for some guys on here to watch from their couch and that it’s too big of a hassle for them to go to the races in person, you sure as hell can’t get that same experience at home. When Kenny almost won in Oakland last year it was absolutely madness in the stadium, I’ve never heard a crowd so in tune with what has happening on the track or so emotionally connected. Kind of throws out the brilliant theory that’s oh so prevalent that 75% of the people there don’t know anything. . .

Best night i've had on a long time. I've been to salt lake and Vegas but neither had the vibe and excitement of what I saw last night. We only get ball sport events so it was something special to see how fired up everyone was and the stadium with all moto people on it.

???to the crowd. Only seen him in person on his 450 once, he’s a bad man!
I think he is going to cover Reed in the list above.

Flew to Denver to see the Grandkids. Took them to Supercross. The event was Great. One of the best crowds at an SX event I’ve been to. (I.e. Anaheims, San Diegos, LA, Las Vegas, Phoenix, etc.). My 9 year old granddaughter that doesn’t know much about SX got fired up for Tomac once she heard he was from Colorado. She was with most the other 50k fans cheering like the wave as he went around the track. A couple things I’d like to see improved were the parking situation ( bit of a disaster) and opening up more concession areas (if they’re open they’d sell more, lines were in excess of 45 minutes, we just gave up) and the crazy rules of what you can bring into the stadium (no iPads? Really?). I don’t think any of these are Feld issues but they sure could be improved. Not complaining the event was fantastic. Just some areas for improvement next time.

Tomac speed jumping the rhythm section to get/pull away from Webb was badass! His rear wheel barely left the ground.

I agree those were all issues for sure, but when I worked at our local college stadium this event would be assumed to be slower than a big game day so they staff for the expected turn out and sales. The bonus that comes from all that was the fact that we exceeded the venues expectations in food, beer and parking. Which in turn means that they made good money and will plan for more next time and want to do it again next year. Aka we passed the test. As for all the silly rules like no recording devices and no back packs. That is the standard at every event in Broncos mile high stadium so it is enforced by them and we can't change that I'm sure. Lots of good things to cons from it I hope.

I agree, the event passed with flying colors. Only reason I mentioned those things were as things to look at for next year. I’m assuming that if Feld has its choice the event will return. It was that good. I am thinking of making this an annual trip.

He is the author of my absolute favorite takeout. The Wilson one was epic “you started it, I’ll finish it”
And my 3rd favorite take out on Webb when Webb was cross jumping him at Daytona.

2nd favorited is Osborne on Savatgy for the title.

Almost wanted to make a new thread for this but decided against it. It's so cool seeing the photos of Eli from the weekend and seeing how much that crowd was rooting for him. You'd be hard pressed to find 20 people in the stands of this photo that don't have their eyes on ET. You can see just how much money he brought to that event in dedicated fans. Love this stuff!

That's awesome! Only a handful of people in that picture not looking at him. Gotta be an unreal feeling!

I agree, sure seemed like Tomac embraced that night. Great to see some life in his face after that race.

Eli is one of the greats. He has left some on the table though but I think it is that way with all of them. There is no reason to think he can't get another 25 wins over the next three years.
He could be sixth all time by the end of the year if he finishes supercross strong and has a solid outdoor season. Crazy.
I can put my money on that prediction.

It was definitely rocking in the stadium, and I haven't been to a pro supercross before so I wondered how it compared crowd-wise to the norm. Glad someone made this thread. My two boys and I have pulled for Eli indoors and outdoors these last few years, him being the local kid, and that made it so much more fun (especially for my sons). They loved it.

I will also say that the crowed cheered really hard for AC as well, I was pretty surprised. I guess everyone just universally loves the guy, he's easy to root for.

Anybody make it to this race and SLC 2 years ago when he had the come from behind win? Curious to see how the crowd compared, in SLC it was non stop cheering as loud as you could as soon as he started to make moves.

I was at both and i still think my section in slc was louder but the way this crowd followed eli around the stadium was unreal. In slc they cheered extremely loud for every pass he made and in denver they cheered him on around every lap especially where he was tripling in then onto the table. even in practice we were cheering him on.

2013* haha had to. Crazy because it lines up to the exact date 6 years ago this past Saturday to that epic night's race. Lost my voice cheering during that main event. Wild 250 main that night too.
