Rumor is that the cylinder on James bike that day is actually a soda can crammed inside another, slightly larger soda can, and his suspension is made from a bag of rubber bands. Still hauled though!

I miss him,so entertaining. He took some hard hits however.

Jaw dropping stuff at times, loved him. I do think either him or Reed left a SX championship
on the table due to their wanting to beat each other so bad. Reed sucks lol.

Suzuki used the 4 stroke 1 year Works rule for Ricky that season. Like Yamaha did in 97 and Honda in 01. No homologation production rule to spur on the development of 4 strokes.
So yes RC had a full unobtainium 450 and James had a production based 250 2 stroke.
