If you make a small mistake in the corner and they're behind you, they're going to contact your back tire and down you go. MX Unleashed on the PS2 didn't have this problem and it was released in 2004. Come on now.

Positives though. I really enjoy the way you can slide around the back end in corners. Not quite exactly perfect like I hope it will be one day, but it sure is a good step forward.
Are we playing the same game lol? I have some issues with this game but one thing that I don't ever recall happening is the AI contacting my back tire in a corner causing me to go down. Strange.

And I was upset that you can't slide the back end around in corners like mes1. Are you doing it any differently than in MES1?

i also don’t have the problem of the AI hitting my back tire as the one dude stated. but in regards to your statement about not being able to slide the back end around in corners....maybe not as much as mesx1, but if you hold the rear brake going into a corner you most definitely can rear end slide through the corner....

Ever since the update I’m getting frame freeze issues on Xbox One X, about every minute or so the screen will freeze for just a hair and jump me forward when it unfreezes. Anybody else experience this?

Yup, happening to me too on just a reg Xbox. I spend more time trying to get in a lobby than playing. Eventually when I do the host leaves and I’m back to square one. My frustration level with Milestone is reaching an all time high. Is this what parent hood is like? Telling a kid constantly not to do something and they just continue to ignore you...?

I uninstalled and reinstalled from my xbox and seems to have fixed the 1st person camera for those that were having dramas with it.

The AI are stuck to a track/line in this game. If you knock them off that line, they get like extra strength to get pulled back into that line. You can't push someone out of the way in this game. It's like moving a boulder. You either crash the AI on initial contact, or they're going to move you off the track. There's been plenty of the times where I'm going into a corner (usually after whoop sections) and the AI comes flying into the frame and hits my back end.

I had one race over the weekend. I was getting punted all over the track. I ended up just quitting.

I wish they had an option to turn of collision for the first 10 seconds of the game. EVERYTIME I hole shot well I end up getting nailed by some ass clown flying into the first corner. I swear people do it on purpose.

Alright gents- after playing the game a couple weeks now I’ve concluded with exception of one insanely annoying, completely unrealistic feature the game otherwise represents a big step forward... Leaving out anything that can possibly be attributable to skill such as the fact the bike turns most of the time like a 70’s Cadillac on flat corners.

Minor issues, I can get over...

1) The fact that 60% of outdoor races are mudders. Come on, mussels happen so should be apart of the game but do they really occur 5 times a season?

2) The fact there’s zero discernible difference between.a fully modded 450 and stock 250. Nothing else to say.

3) The fact that a fully modded 450 somehow isn’t able to easily clear the next jump if you mess up a rhythm section. Yes including using 1st gear. Which i might add my mostly stock 250 can do in real life. You may not be able to make the next triple but you can certainly at least double the next jump. Part of this is power and part of this is due to the final issue I’ll address below.

4) The fact that the don’t remove tuff blocks from the middle of track half the time so you have to avoid them every subsequent lap. Can you imagine if they did that in real life?

Anyways, all those things i can get over and chalk up to “no game is perfect”...

However, the one feature that is completely and utterly idiotic and virtually ruins an otherwise mostly promising game is as follows:

* The fact that when you case a jump or land on an obstacle anywhere but the backside of a jump the bike reacts as if it had just landed on a trampoline and catapults the bike both up(yes up) and out meaning you land either on or close to the next jump which in turn makes it virtually impossible to regain your rhythm. Which when combined with the aforementioned lack of power makes it virtually impossible to clear the next obstacle and regain your rhythm.

I mean really? For all you guys claiming it’s the most realistic game ever can you show me a single video where a bike literally bounces up the equivalent of 10ft in the air and out 15ft after landing on an obstacle/casing a jump? As if the bike’s tires were suddenly replaced with giant pogo sticks? Obviously there needs to be a penalty for messing up a jump but why not take the real world/mad skills approach and just have it result in killing your momentum/inability to triple next obstacle?

It’s just frustrating because if they resolved this one completely unrealistic/nonsensical flaw in the game physics i’d agree it’d be by far the best MX game ever created even taking into consideration all those other minor/annoying issues i mentioned...

Dude if you think a stock 250 is the same as a modded 450 you need to work on your cornering in the game or something haha there’s just no way. You have to downside the landing perfect and be at the right rpms in 3rd to make some quads/lines. I agree it’s not the most realistic mx game ever but I haven’t seen anyone say that. The bouncing when casing should be fixed but they have to keep it Arcading

Modded 450s are a lot faster.

Remember you can still shift if you aren't in the right gear

Based on your post, I’m going to just assume you are total garbage at this game.
Name one thing i mentioned that’s impacted by skill. I’m sure a video game god like you has never cased a jump but that wasn’t my complaint, it’s what happens after you case a jump. And it’s irrelevant but I’ve won a 450 championship on hard with no rewind, realistic physics etc. So am not good or terrible but again, that’s beside the point.

i believe you have to invite unless for example someone sees your online and joins to your game. that’s how i understand it

Any tips on getting 3 stars for cornering speed level 8? Highest speed I’ve averaged is 42.3 and you need to average 43.5.

Edit: got it, just pulled back most of the time.

Online lag sucks so bad. It's impossible to tell where exactly someone is next to you. I think that's the reason why everyone says people are dirty online, aside from the obvious dive bombers.
