I know a lot of people like them, but I’ve never cared for the looks of the early Full Floater RMs

Barnett's RH with the air box-gas-tank. Lots of blue underneath the yellow.

The 89-92 was the best body style of all time! However, I would always select the look of the 125 over the 250. The shape of the exhaust on the 125 made it much better looking.

I had an '82 RM250, can't say the looks were the best. The radiator shrouds were odd. I liked the unique look of my '81 RM125 though. Or, maybe I was just awestruck because of how it performed!

Yep, I can't connect with that list without the '81 RM125 on it. It was one of the most influential bikes in MX history. You could drop it in as number 8 and delete 10 and I would be A-OK with the rest of the list.

This is the 1980 RH 250...I think...
Correction: the official RH fact checkers say it’s 1983.

That's the 1983 RH250.

Agree on the 370. Actually i was just a little one and was surprised how much space between the top of the rear tire and the fender on all 3 of their full size 1970's RM's. Though I do like the look of the aluminum swingarm years.

Same thing with the 1970's YZ's. With the alum swingarms they looked so sweet.

1980 wasn’t sounding right.

Great video Tony. I have a thing for zooks. I happen to like the early Floaters but I get what you say about the plastics.... Great bikes though. Also have a 76 RM125 and 77 RM370 projects.

Beautiful collection, Steve.

Anyone who doesn't think that '82 looks cool is a damn dirty communist, and they should be investigated by Homeland Security.

Are there any total Suzuki geeks that know if a guy could build a '83 RH250 replica using an '83-'85(?) chassis?

It could be done by using the '84-'85 chassis but a guy would have to be super crafty with building the airbox.

I'm old school to the bone, so I feel guilty for saying it but I think as far as looks go, the newest RM is the best looking RM ever. Something about them that I just like. Aside from them, i'd say the 93'-95' models were killer looking. In 92' I raced an RM 250. I switched to KX in 93' but a friend of mine who also raced the 92' RM 250 stuck with Suzukis and showed up one day on the new 93' model. I remember really liking the way it looked and thoughr it was way better looking than the 92' models we had raced. I loved the 93' KX and had no regrets about switching brands, but I did drool over how my buddy's 93' RM looked. Just my thoughts.

There it is, Thanks!

Having the air-box & gas tank fabricated is a given...but, I've got some great fab guys working for me.
