What sponsors from that list are going to cut off Moto....KTM? A-Stars? WPS? Fly? Husky? Honda? Suzuki? RMATV?....I think I’ve made my point.

OSHA / OHSA ( I've seen both versions here) could certainly get involved in this.

Pissed of parents with Kids with Chemical burns - hell yes, I'd be baying for blood if it was my child. But, it won't neccessarily just be that justifiable rage that comes in the hardest.

I'd be very surprised if whatever acronymed body that deals with Child Protection in the USA / or State of California, doesn't get involved in this. And I tell you what, Boys and Girls, that's something to be feared, by all and sundry. It wouldn't even take a parent / parents getting litigious. A 'Mandatory Reporter', such as a Doctor, (or a teacher seeing burns) treating injuries from burns created by Lime, whatever version it is, would know of it's dangers, and would ( well, here in OZ we would, and as a Childcare Specialist in my retirement, I'd be legally obliged to direct parents to report it, as I would be legally obliged to report it over and above them) Hell, Lime, in it's various dangerous forms, was done away with here in the 70s, I think, for things like marking footy field lines etc. I well remember the skin burns from sliding over bloody Lime / Ly lines in Footy matches when I was a kid.

There'll be the usual drongos that will get upset with 'The Guberment' getting involved, but fuck them - Kids health is bloody important. The scary thing is, there'll be those that hate our sport, that will possibly use this as a way to restrict kids racing, as a whole.

But, this enormous, stupid f**k up, might be the thing that has the Riders ,Teams and Manufacturers show some spinal fortitude, and get a better deal for the ones that provide the 'Entertainment'.

What are the chances that supercross actually unravels from all of this? Will this effect people’s ability to show up for minneapolis??
Sure hope not. I'm driving 7 hours to watch!!!

Well this thread turned into a total shit show overnight. So many experts. So much outrage of something that has ZERO impact on anybody in here (except for maybe Steve and anyone else that was actually on the floor.) Call OSHA! Class-action! Feld better pay! Supercross is done! Riders union! Boycott the sponsors! Shame them on social media!

Another day, another Harambe.

Once heard that when Roczen open fractured his arm their biggest worry and struggle was the lime / possible infection from the dirt in the wound. This toxic shit doesn’t belong in Moto

Actual moment when bags of lime, trucked in then bagged-then dumped by truck, were introduced to the soil at Petco Park. See the concerned looks? It’s a LimeFest.

I see in my crystal ball that tracks will go back to like they were in 80's just full of ruts. I'm sure Cooper will be glad if they do lol.

Discount tire, cooper tire, Toyota, E3, monster have no skin in the game. Sure FLY isnt gonna go over this. The others might if they view their sponsorship as a liability to the company image. Look at what happened with YouTube when companies noticed their ads on videos with cursing...

I’m not really sure when/why they added the line in SD. We have used it in the past as we needed the soil we were using to be within 2 percent of optimum moisture. Hydrated lime reacts with moisture creating heat. The heat from said reaction causes the drying action. You aren’t going to absorb rain water or standing water. Lime will work in say, Indy, when the dirt is brought in and found to be too wet, ie, pliable or like a wet play dough. Adding the lime will pull those last few percentage points of moisture out firming up the soil. For the life of me, I don’t understand the thought process of adding lime to Petco Park when it was already sloppy and had standing water. No amount of lime was going to dry that stuff up. At that point it’s all on Mother Nature. It’s almost as if the guy who understands limes use was on a beer run so number 2 in command thought it would be a good idea using it when he only had a minimal understanding of how it works.

The Drit Wurx crew rents their machines, right? I wonder what the lime did to those machines after all the clean up? I believe for this venue they rented from Hawthorne Cat in San Diego. Wonder if they are experiencing any possible charges from the destruction to the rented equipment?

Don’t need to prove intent when there is negligence.

How were they negligent? By spreading a drying agent they have used successfully for the last 10 years? Once again, no one knows if the batch they received was bad. No one knows if it reacted the way it did because of the elements or something else? I don’t know, no one dose, and the major glaring fact that everyone is missing is the track had already been torn down and whatever evidence was left, has already been tainted because the track has been torn down. If it were to go to trial, (which it won’t), whatever samples they collect would be thrown out.

The product and Quality control is all traceable based on CofA's, packages shipped, and sample retains. Getting a sample of the batch of lime used is 100% readily available in the event of a lawsuit. Retain samples are required for all batches. All chemicals are currently required to have labels that meet GHS requirements which includes 6 primary components of which will include the manufacturer or provider of the material along with hazards, warning statements, lot numbers, etc. If they shipped product that didn't meet GHS standards, they are double fucked.
Feld and or DW would have the coa’s and retain samples of the lime they used? Highly doubtful.

No, the chemical company they purchased it from will have them (or should).

There once was a man on a mud track
Who fell and got lime in his butt crack
He won the next round
With his pants half way down
But got docked for showing his nut sack

Well, it’s start

My advice is to lawyer up and sue everyone involved in Limegate.

Sincerely,

Well, it’s start
Now...
Let my people go, land of Goshen!
Go...
I will be with thee, bush of fire!
Blood...
Running red and strong, down the Nile!
Plague...
Darkness three days long, hail to fire!

Hmm, not sure if I did that right but I think it still works?

The Supercross in San Diego
The rain made it look like a no-go
So they put down some lime
Which they thought would be fine
But it looks like they’ve got Impetigo

I haven’t seen any of the title sponsored riders (monster energy Kawi) saying anything on social media. Any chance they’re told to zip lip or have they been saying things as well and I just missed it

Wow, I don't know if I have ever seen a thread with a bigger disconnect between those who know what they are talking about and those that don't.

So if you Raced LCQ but didnt make the main
You get nothing for your ruined bike?
Id Say for the Mini riders Buy all the bikes that they road
And give them to them to keep that would make it all ok there.
Then buy New Ktm 50's for the rest of the SX series.
For the Riders have them all submit a documented list of what they want replaced and a dollar amount.
Average that amount so if 1 rider says $20,000 one rider says $10,000 one says $12,483 etc.
Average it all out and cut every rider that did a lap and cut them all a check for the same amount.
And if your a factory rider and its not really costing the rider personally anything financially, imo you dontate your portion to a TPJ
Or a privateer that you know needs it.
Obviously the last part is strictly opinion and they can do what they want to with there money.

I don’t believe they’re title sponsored riders though? I was referring to monster energy riders.
