In these kind of events, luck play a big factor. Ask Barcia. This muddrace has absolutely nothing to do in SX environment, nothing. Hillbilly freak show is what it looked like on TV, fastest guys on the planet rollin around and over jumps like they never been on a sx track before.

Makes the sport look ridiculous.

17 rounds, I would really hope Feld start considering to drop one bad race per year.

You mean like this one?

Well done sir.

Now go back to 1990 and continue receiving those unemployment check that we all other are contributing to so you can live another day.

"Let me guess, you are one of those barely making a living in your own country, and take it out on people on forums."

lol, let me guess, you are one of "those" that barely has the intelligence level of a rock, and makes foolish and inaccurate assumptions about others.

"You never been outside your own state, never the less, America."

You are correct if you don't count the following:

Michigan, Washington, Canada, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Georgia, New Mexico, Illinois, Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, England, Japan, and probably a few others I have forgotten about.

"Now go back to 1990 and continue receiving those unemployment check that we all other are..."

Now go back to grade school so you can hopefully learn how to use proper grammar and form a coherent sentence.

Some posts are so ridiculous. Yes, I do understand the initial post. I think what many of us are trying to say, is that while yes the elements are certainly a part of this sport; we would rather this to be very infrequent. I love the sport of mx/sx, but last nights race was quite a drag. If this was the norm, I doubt I’d be too eager to tune in.

1 or 2 mud races a year isn't a bad thing. Any more than 2 would be too many. I don't like the idea of shortening the main events because of mud. If you start shortening the mains then I would rather see it moved to Sunday and ran full length. I'm sure its due to the factory teams blowing their expensive race motors so just take them out and slap in a stock motor with a heavy duty clutch and it will go all day. Reliability over performance in the mud.

Did anyone notice that they took off the tarps right before it rained and then they didn't qualify on them for several hours after most of the rain fell? That didn't make sense because they knew heavy rain was coming that would eliminate practice and shorten qualifying. Have a plan in place. If you know heavy rain will shorten qualifying to a minimum then don't pull the tarps until the last minute. I know it still would have been muddy but not as bad. Why even have tarps if you don't use them properly.

No less than 6 OEMs...all their factory teams, 250 teams and support teams...
Let's look at KTM...for example...
The 2 rigs that represent the Red Bull KTM 450 Team
The RMATV/MC Team
The TLD 250 Team
Oh...& the little tikes had their own rig for the KTM Junior Challenge (that didn't go to well but was pretty damn hilarious).

Just for example...that's just one brand...one OEM...

That spends the time and money to go to the race/venue and prepare to compete...no matter what Mother Nature brings...

And some of us that seem to think we're "core" or the more informed "serious & knowledgeable" fan wants to CALL THE RACE OFF because it's muddy?

BWAHAHAHAHHAAAHAAA

Sunday Funday...here at Vital!

Damn, it makes me feel sorry for GuyB.

Gawd dang guys , it was just a mud race. It happens this time of year. It's not like they could of cancelled it or re-scheduled it. It is what it is , and even though I'd rather watch a race with good conditions , we just have to race in what mother nature provides us with. Sheesh.

I agree, but it just seems that responses are totally from one extreme end of the spectrum or the other. The race under last nights circumstances just can’t be rescheduled, postponed or whatever. I really believe that most of us aren’t suggesting this. I for one agree that rain is part of the equation everyone has to deal with, but damn, I don’t want many of them. If most were like last night, I would just as soon find another way to spend 3 hours on a Saturday night. Every response (practically anyway) is from one extreme or the other.

The U.S. Department of Labor's Unemployment Insurance program is funded through unemployment insurance taxes paid by employers and collected by the state and federal government. The taxes are part of the often-discussed payroll taxes all employers pay.

I don't think we contribute his check if he does get one.

Now that is very true. I’d like to give you credit for a great use of sarcasm, but that statement is too factual to be considered sarcasm.

Yeah it was terrible and I was in the stands. They should only have SX races when weather is 68-72 degrees, 0% chance of rain, 30% humidity. Wtf. Everyone has to deal with same conditions. Let’s pusify this sport like everything else in this country. Part of being a professional is dealing with all conditions and managing your bike throughout the race. I can’t believe I’m wasting my time writing this.

I, for one...ABSOLUTELY love that last night's race was a regular local Joe's nightmare version of a typical mud race just like everyone of us has probably had to endure.

For me, I was remembering the "rain relocated race" at Avenal, California...snow-fence on a hillside...down-pour style rain...and an amazingly well set-up Honda Support CR480...it was the early '80s and it was awful...

Until it was AWESOME!

Let it rain!

Ever rider should be able to deduct 1-2 finishes from the books, or every rider automatically forfeits their worst 2 races from the season. I may be missing the math here, but seems like it would be fair and keep things like mechanical breakdowns and bad weather from disrupting the true competition of this sport, which is everyone rocking it on a dry, closed course supercross track. This has been raised before and not many seemed on board with it, but I can't see why this would be a bad thing. It just makes sense imo.

Sensitive subject and don't want to hurt Bubba's feelings but he's a tad overweight and could lose a few pounds lol.

Cats are great. Even Thor agrees.

Unfortunate that this could affect someones championship.
Most likely these events cannot be rescheduled this yr because the stadium could be already booked by another venue. I'm sure most stadiums are pre scheduled way out in advance.

And how would Dirt Wirks accept this after week of work and thousands $$?

Sorry, come clean up your dirt that never got used but we had to reschedule and will have to pay you at a later date.

Good luck on finding another dirt contractor.

I'm not sure if this is actually how it works but I'm throwing out some logistics why events like this can't be postponed because of weather.

Shitshow mud supercross races suck, for pretty much everyone. I watched about 2 laps last night and turned it off. not interested in watching what looks like the local c class paddle around the track.

Just shows the intelligence level. It is not about you and me and the 64 on a forum. It is about the 2-3million that Feld is trying to move over that now again this year got a sneak peak of riders going 10mph peddling around the track and barerly making one jump.

"Yea, supercross is da thing, not! I think I go back to watching that bowling game instead on Speed".
