And no, I don't smoke weed. It's just bullshit that NBC can black ball an outside sponsor of a rider who just kicked ass in the first heat of the year.

...that changes things a bit. lol

Just read this on LAtimes... "Marijuana remains illegal under federal law, and many federally licensed television stations do not accept cannabis advertising, according to Randall Huft, president and creative director of Innovation Agency"

The biggest thing that bums me out about all of this is how Ignite will probably see how the one guy they support in SX is having to censor their logo/company, which maybe could lead to them seeing absolutely no reason to continue supporting this sport and/or rider.

The brand under its current state wouldn’t be able to sponsor any sport or athletes on NBC or Fox. Whether it’s Moto, NASCAR, etc....

Aren’t they smart enough to take into account it might be an issue beforehand?

Came here to say this. If Ignite was just a CBD company it would be stupid. But they are mainly a cannabis company and i can understand why Feld would want to censor it. I still think its all bs though. Let parents parent their kids. I'm pro cannabis.

Once again, not a Monster or Feld thing...it’s a NBC deal...same thing would happen in any sport they would air.

Wouldn't this be something Ignite and/or Dean should know before going in to this?

Like I said before, this almost works to Dan/Deans advantage. More people have researched Ignite because of this thread than if they would have just allowed it. Perhaps that was the goal all along?

Just think if Dan goes crazy and really ups Deans pit presence..lol For those if you that don't understand, check out Ignite instagram page.

One week of some extra exposure doesn't weigh up for the other 18 weeks of no exposure. I just figured stuff like this would be double-checked before signing a sponsorship deal. There's no way they planned this to happen

If Dean does land on the podium, and I believe he will, they should be the first sponsor out of his mouth when interviewed. Will they make him race with tape over his mouth after that?

Pathetic.

And ultimately, will have the unintended affect of getting more people talking about Deano's sponser and asking whats under the black tape...

Maybe Ignite knew this would happen and figured it’d get the publicity it wanted over the controversy anyways. Just like Reed and his 360 camera fiasco a few years ago.
