I just payed up. I've played a few rounds last year for free, but I've listened to everything pulpmx and every pulpmx fantasy pod for the last 2 years (even though I never played) so even if I suck, I hope it keeps the pulpmx podcast empire rolling along with my donation.

If you don’t have the time to put into it, you’re not going to do well. But if you take some risks and make semi calculated picks, you can actually make some descent money if you sign up for the right leagues. There are open spots, if anyone is interested.

Meanwhile, they gave out earned #’s for 2018 to the top 100 points earners from SX and MX combined. Bring on 2019 Wink

They had a throw away round last year so you did get a freebie. Unfortunately I work most Saturdays so I ended up forgetting to make my picks for the day races and east coast rounds a few times.

But just because you’re out of the year end total points champion, doesn’t mean “it’s over”. You can still win prizes every single week.

I think the RM one is so basic that it’s not even entertaining for me. Playing in a handicap league like Pulps makes each race that much more fun to watch, especially since half way through the season things tend to get a bit repetitive. I figure the $20 to play is worth the cost, plus it supports PulpMX. They put out so much free, quality content... it’s an easy $20 to toss their way.

It was Hutch over on Mototalk that had a salary capped league. It was also my favorite system for picking a team.

This. I got all amped up to try it this year, started to look into it, was contemplating if i really wanted to spend the money. And was quickly over it with the handicap pick 4 rider thing. I prefer RMfantasysx where you pick who ends up where. Just wish they'd add a 250 class to the mix.

I wish there was a logical way one could choose a team for the year and still use handy caps and have sone sort of “league” like football, if a rider gets injured you trade or pick up another, and still use handicaps to keep it somewhat even or fair, like a league with 5 members so everyone has some decent picks, have an all star and have 3-5 other guys to bounce around in and out of your lineup. Some way to make it where you don’t have ALL the riders to look at and consider. Like a your stuck with your team and a few extras to move around according to a handicap system. Take a lot less time and still be somewhat strategic though .. he’ll I dunno. Wasn’t trying to make this a “5 page thread” I apologize. I like playing but to do well you really do need to put the time in, especially with the handicapping. I won't have the time this year so am out, will continue to listen to the pods though and be back next year.

plenty of times people who don't study every detail do good. too much info is dangerous lol.
I love it. as said racing is so much better when there is a big lead or series is wrapped up. also makes you appreciate just how fast you have to be to make the main.watching a rider battle for the lcq spots is so intense and fun.

Ok, I ended up signing up again and even paid for the expert picks because I need the help but they aren't showing up anywhere. Anyone else have this problem?

I also missed lock out one other time. I guess it just sucks if you screw up once and your whole season is screwed. I was gonna play but I’ll just save my money this year and put it towards the gold app. it was ok I guess but does anyone else just not get that much pleasure out of fantasy sports ? or am I just weird ? ?

No thanks. I don’t have that kind of commitment. plus I have JT syndrome where I Get pissed off and then it ruins the rest of the race for me, because “Box van Johnny” pulled off the track during the LCQ

Its my first year playing....

Is it smarter to pic the obvious fast guys and just get a predictable amount of points? Or should I add a "long shot" with a higher handicap and try to get extra points?

Also do you guys even risk picking the FFL? I see you can lose points if you are wrong.

Thanks for any tips. I want to win that YZ to match my WR dual sport.
