Jumps that were not supposed to be jumped?

Edited Date/Time 2/15/2019 7:40am
Any stand out stories about riders turning sections in big doubles, quads...insane jumps?

I remember watching Guy Cooper in the early 90's, can't recall the venue but he was practically clearing the whole whoop section.

Also a stand out for me was Muddy Creek, James on his SuperMini doing something insane, think the only other dude to nail it was Riddle.

The story of LaRocco's Leap? Was it intended to be jumped when they built it or did Mike just hold it wide open and pray?

Nope. He endo’d a relatively easy section where he missed tapping the front wheel and went over the bars. He had the wall jump up to that point and a huge lead.

Stew setting up a rhythm section that left him with a single at the end that he used to jump an entire whoop section.

Anaheim 92. Cooper doubled a peaked single over whoops to peaked single before the finish. No run up to or out of the landing. Turn jump, jump turn. Rode it the next day during amateur day. Just nuts.

2007 Atlanta SX, Stewart quad jump after finish line. I don't think anyone else was doing it.

Well one time I turned a double double section at a local track into a triple single that was pretty bad ass, so ya I’m pretty much the manLaughing

Gotta give it the full send sometimes when you’re winning practice right?

RC and a couple others were carving off the little step up right after the start at Millville and jumping the corner. They would land halfway down the straightaway. I believe a flagpole was put up to block the line.

I don't remember the specifics, but wasn't there a section at High Point in '09 that Reed was jumping that nobody else was? I remember him flying over Andrew Short.

EDIT found it: https://youtu.be/KIUEID_R9Rs

Anaheim '87, a few guys - Ward, Dymond, Glover etc. made a huge triple where there wasn't one.
