Lack of carb cleaning is nice. What's maybe nicer is no flooding when junior lays the thing on its side, and comes wandering over for help

EFI on entry level bikes isn't a bad idea, and given the number of substantial changes a $300 price increase isn't unreasonable.

The CRF230F came/comes choked up ostensibly due to emissions requirements. Will the new CRF250F, having EFI run cleaner allowing for a more unrestricted motor right off the showroom floor?

Also, thumbs up for EFI and FINALLY putting a rear disc brake on a CRF trail bike. But weighing 265 pounds is a major bummer. 16 pounds more than the 230 which is already portly.

$300 is about the price for a carb clean when your 230F has been sitting unridden for a few months and all of a sudden it's riding season and your bike won't start or runs like crap...which is VERY common for those bikes and the people that buy and use them.
$300 seriously? I cleaned the carb on our KLX 140 in an hour or two. 15 minutes of carb cleaning and 1:45 of dealing with the bazillion fasteners for the seat, tank, side panels etc.
