I've always wondered what the rule was on this. I think it should be where they grew up or spent the majority of their life. If they moved to the America when they were 10 they can't ride for America until after they turn 20 when they've spent at least half their life here. Or maybe where they're a citizen when they turned pro is their country for their entire career. Either would be fine for me.

....well, maybe Marvin can stay. He's a good guy. Likes cats. Said he would let us fly over his Country. And loves Jerry Lewis. F.T.B.

You don't like the foreigners coming over and taking American titles? Are you that insecure?

American titles for American people first. You just can't come here and take our titles. They can get in line if they want a title. Goooo Trump. F.T.B.

No. Jeff Ward moved to America when he was 4. He didn't win World Championships and ride for other countries MXDN teams before he moved here for racing purposes. It's not a comparison.

They said NO to their birth countries multiple times cause of MEC, deathcross training and stuff so it would be a big shame now if they say yes to that.

I think it's your "primary" citizenship right? Wasn't that the change that happened after Martens or someone raced for Luxemborg and Belgium?

I guess you could allocate what that is, but I have a Pommy passport too... I'd never wear that uniform though.

Martens might have been the straw that broke the camels back - but, I think plenty of Belgians over the years rode for Luxembourg. There were limitations on GP rider numbers from each nation, so a fair few Belgians would race with a Luxembourg license in GPs.

Robgvx here would probably know a fair amount about all of this.

Trampas Parker raced for the Italians, Billy Liles I think did too (or another country - Luxembourg perhaps?) prior to riding in the US Team in the OZ MXDN.

Could be the dumbest thread ever and that's saying allot. Ya I want the best riders from other countries on our team too because we don't have a big enough rider pool to pick from to begin with. Talk about hollow victories

WE are a nation built on immigrants. If you too as a immigrant enjoy this great country as I do and take all the steps to become a United States Citizen, by all means grab the flag and wave the shit out of it and race for the stars and bars baby.

Imagine if Marv gave the big finger to the FFM and rode for the USA or Puerto Rico
This is a dumb post. They will always race for the country they were born in, Its why its called Motocross of nations.

Obviously you're wrong. Lots of Americans race for Puerto Rico, Dean Wilson raced for Canada and Jeff Wars raced for US (born in Scotland)
