I want American citizens to win it for the US and if they are American citizens, and they want to race, then they should have the opportunity.

This is a dumb post. They will always race for the country they were born in, Its why its called Motocross of nations.

Obviously you're wrong. Lots of Americans race for Puerto Rico, Dean Wilson raced for Canada and Jeff Wars raced for US (born in Scotland)
I wasn't referring to where Deano raced or Jeff Ward has raced, I was specifically talking about MM & KR who i believe have said themselves will they would race for France/Germany.

Not to completely derail that topic but has there ever been a professional motocross racer that was 100% Native American?

I haven't seen any replies to my earlier question in this thread. If Kenny/Marvin truly have taken American citizenship and wanted to race for the U.S. why wouldn't we embrace that? On the other hand, if becoming citizens was purely for economic reasons I get that....double taxation, etc. I'd just like to hear them state how they feel about the subject. It certainly appears that they COULD represent the states if asked and were so inclined. Note: Unless you are Native American....the "wasn't born here or haven't been here long enough" just won't play.

Not completely off topic but I did talk to Roger about taking U.S. citizenship. He said he just embraced the American freedoms and lifestyle but did say the wages and taxation rate were big factors as well. He added that if he had major health issues he would return to Europe. He feels the cost and quality of care is better there. If I see him this summer I will ask him if he had become a citizen during his racing career...would he have ridden for the USA?

Imagine if Marv gave the big finger to the FFM and rode for the USA or Puerto Rico
There was a reason.

Even France doesn't want to be represented by somebody that wears cat gear.

Who cares if they chose to race it for the US and then won it for the US but they’re not American? They live here now, they make money from Racing here now, and I would argue of their dual citizenship, USA is currently primary. The way I see it, it’s kind of more fucked up for them to race it for someone else at this point. Taboo either way I guess.

Then, I know it’s been addressed before, you have our princess Tomac who turned it down for us in the past....

It’s funny. I’m all for being ethnocentric. I’ll wave the red white and blue next to you. But when it comes to MX I don’t subscribe as much. I mean in years passed, absolutely.... dungey, RV, all day. These days, I’m sorry, I’ll take musquin and roczen over Tomac anyday. Add barcia and Anderson for MXON and that changes things a little. As far as I’m concerned theyre Americans now. I mean they race here. They’re Stars In OUR series. It’s not like we are talking about say Herlings coming here, from another series, and us rooting against the Home team. I’m sure I’m on this island alone though

Don’t worry they will be calling the race off anyway. POTUS new immigration laws keep the foreign riders out. He feels if vetted they cannot do anything for America.

Well,

I Thought that they are basically a native people who had their homeland stolen from them over the last several hundred years, and ended up as an American state in the twentieth century, so, native americans.

No offense intended to any Kanata Maoli polynesians.
