20 years ago people were doing mad shit for a VHS camera, sure they pretending to 'not give a shit' but people like Deegan were building an empire and others were either drifting off to obscurity forgotten as a guy that could do a half assed whip with so little actual skill, and others again suffered mental illness, drug abuse and worse. But you old guys paid money to buy the VHS tape, that made them money.

DVDs or VHS tapes, believe it or not don't sell, the 'metal mulisha tour' is a fucking joke and as you see Skateboarder, roller bladers and BMX riders arent making the money they were in the 90's when a sick feature in a VHS movie would land them a big money sponsorship. Nobodies buying these movies or watching these movies, so the only way to get paid as a 'freerider' is to make instagram bangers or do actual incredible game changing things (Pastrana, Robbies Madison and a few other freestylers)

This is the world we live in, Instagram is 100% as relevant in todays world as Crusty Demons was in 1995. But in Saying that, they wont live on like crusty demons. But really what they fuck did they do that was interesting? Everyone is so quick to jump on 'drama' but somehow seem to revel in the 'drama' or fuckery of the past. Get your head out your ass and respect the hustle... Those 90s video stars were just a big a sell outs as Axle is.

What did they do?....start a whole different genre/sport/style of riding an mx bike.
All the guys are doing these days is repeating what has been done over and over, like painting the same paint by numbers with a different colour set.

Do people really wait for the latest Instagram segment? I remember how exciting it was watching a new Terrafirma or Crusty vhs....up until about 2000....then it was just more of the same

Every generation likes to think they reinvented the wheel. We just have Insta now but the shit is still the the same story. Just a different platform. Some of you nuthuggers need to calm down about your “boy”

Ah, good ol beefin. This shit has been going on since man first appeared on this planet. Now we just have social media to broadcast said beef to the masses.

They should settle this with a duel like in the old days.

I like IG, helps follow the sport and it stays drama free on my end.

Sounds like a personal problem. You can stay out of drama. I removed all of my followers that I don't know personally and made my profile private. No problems now.

Hell, I BLOCK all followers! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Not going to lie, with the exception of Josh Hill I have no clue who any of these people are.

That being said man the f*ck up OP. Don't come to an online message board and post some obviously biased insider information and hide behind the screen and anonymity. Grow some nuts and call people out the old fashion way. Let's really get this drama bullshit started.

Sounds like someone who made a personal decision for healthier life in their view, labeling it as a personal problem is kind of a jackoff comment...just my opinion though...

Agreed.

I totally dig social media for staying in touch with people I know but the moment it gets to chasing "likes" and "followers", it's a race to the bottom for the lowest common denominator. Makes Jerry Springer look like a MENSA show.

So as we all know, it's that time of the year again. Real Moto shoots are in full effect and everyone is out trying to come up with the most entertaining 90 second video that will hopefully earn them the gold. For the most part, everyone keeps to themselves and you won't hear much about what each rider is doing until they release their video. This year it seems some of the crew working on Axell's video let it slip that Axell is bringing a new trick to the table that no one has ever done before. It's a badass trick and props to Axell for pulling it off.

But I'm not here to talk about the trick, rather the slimy move Connor Ericsson (aka Buttery) tried to pull to ruin Axell's video. Apparently someone shared the details of this new trick with Connor. Rather than being happy for his once-friend Axell, he came up with a plan to ruin all of the hype behind his video. He figured he could get someone to do the same trick, but since Axell can't release his video until August 22nd, he'd be able to release it just days before, completely ruining the originality of the trick. He convinced Josh Hill that he should do it, and Josh agreed. Him and Josh have been working on doing the same exact trick over at Brian Deegan's house for the past couple of days (I'm sure some of you have seen the Snapchats and Instagram stories of them there).

Fate was on Axell's side though. The Hodges family are closely tied in with Monster, who just so happens to pay Josh's salary. They caught wind of this stunt and Monster threatened to fire Josh if he went through with it. Apparently Hill is still working on the trick but he's not allowed to release it until after Axell.

It's crazy that someone who smiles and shakes the hands of all his fans behaves like this behind closed doors. How small of a person do you have to be to make it your goal to wreck someone else's accomplishments?
To the OP, why place your location as Canada when you're locating in Escondido, California. Right next to where two of the main people in this discussion (Connor and Axell) live...

I don't like people with agendas.

Actually, no, this is a forum based around racing. Real moto X Games is very low on the priority list around here and very few members even know what it is.

5 pages of people explaining how they don’t care. . .Dry Whistling

Edit: Just saw on Josh Hill’s IG it was a nose wheelie to front flip. I’d say that’s pretty damn legit! That’s for sure a NBD.
