Buy a Rolex and USPS it to his house. Drop off a briefcase with 25K in it. Send him and his wife to Hawaii. Open a tuition investment account for his newborn baby. There are literally a thousand ways that this could have been made right. The legal claim, while it may be technically applicable, is still completely laughable to me. What's right will always be right.

I’m going to say this- and take it how you will.. but.. “Vloggers” that narrate while riding are asking to have wipeouts. There is no time to narrate or be thinking about what an audience will think as they watch this type of video.. while riding. As soon as I heard the guy start talking while riding I already knew he was going to make a mental error and slam. There are a handful of A and Pro riders that can narrate while riding. Novice riders need to be putting every literal thought into what they’re doing. *Especially* when they...

Dungey was good, but the stars all aligned for him in 2010. Villo got hurt in SX and wasn’t around for MX due to the SX injury. Dungey made the most of it.

Allow me to address your concerns: 1. The Emig pic is because I’m a fan, took that pic at Kenworthy’s and I love it. He’s on a Kawasaki. 2. Yes, I’ve gone soft. I’m 60. Come to my casa, we will do pull ups, push ups, sit ups, race pit bikes and drink beer, then you tell me who’s soft. 3. Yeah I’ve got a shrine to every pro. Check out my garage. Huge fan. 4. Please show me when I’ve dragged any riders name “ through the mud”? 5. I fully realize other American riders have opted not to...

You put “injured Herlings “ so if he does bad you have your excuse on stand by. Face it the Western Hemisphere isn’t following the mxgp formula and the mxgp races are not being ran over here at all now. It is easy to see the riders focus in the USA is sx mx mec. And lots of training the mxon is a great race but you can’t race them all.

I don’t think many have turned it down as many times as Tomac has. ‘16,’17 and now ‘19. Even last year I’m sure he would’ve declined if it wasn’t in the USA and although he was there, you never really got the impression that he really wanted to do it

Not going to have surgery, or to get married is acceptable. Not going because you just don't want to is big time loser stuff, no matter who the rider is.

I’ve worked for 4 corporations in the last 14 yrs. with the last 2 being international. At the end of the day it is about the mighty $. I do miss the 80’s & 90’s as it seemed like simpler times to me before I got tainted by the Corp. greed.. I don’t believe Et1 or AC92 had a choice in the “business decision”. Just my $.02..

It doesn't matter when the MXoN takes place anymore. There will always be a new excuse. This is a one way street for the sport in the US. Somewhere along the line the corporations started caring more about business, and money, and investments than racing, pride and love of the sport and now the riders are starting having the same mindset. The lengths some countries go to, and an astonishing amount of work to get their riders to the event, and in a lot of cases knowing that they might now even qualify for the A final, shows you what...

I'll bring up Herlings to complete the stupidity... I wonder if everyone would be defending KTM/Herlings if KTM held Herlings out of a US-based MXdN so he could be ready for the Paris Supercross? Would Herlings even allow something like this to happen, or would he insist on representing his country?

it goes on because it's important to many that the Best USA has to offer goes and tries to win this event. The Team we are sending is top quality no doubt but our 2 Champions will not be there and that say's something. I get the Business aspect of it but I also see the Pride in Country side too.

I think Rupert brings up a good point that very few want to address. I personally think it was a mutual decision between Kawasaki and Tomac because Tomac doesn't want to face off with Herlings in the sand. On a ormal track, I think Tomac can be just as fast, but at this point, Herlings has him beat in his mind. Now my regular downvoters can do their thing.

We definitely do share enthusiasm for the sport. At the end of the day, I think you and I can agree that we want to see the best of the best at the MXdN and it’s a shame Kawasaki doesn’t agree. Thankfully though, the event will go off with or without Kawasaki (and Canada) and I’m sure it will be a great weekend nonetheless. I’m looking forward to it.

Jorge. I think we share enthusiasm for the same sport. As far as your suggestions, I feel like I’m complying with your recommendations. I wish you and your country well. I’ve just never believed in corporate bullshit. And, I never will.

Id say Kawi is following the money. Truth is other than the die hards most people don't care about MXoN. There was a time when it was important, sadly now teams don't really care. If they did, they would be fighting to get riders on the team. But.. They aren't. Its the same reason teams are pumping tons of cash into Supercross. Its the product that is selling to the masses. Pretty much basic economics. Let the thumbs downs flow, sometimes the truth hurts.
