I'm not able to play in the first person mode as it literally makes me sick, its kind of a motion sickness feeling. The only way i can play is the far away camera mode. Am I the only one or do any of you suffer from the same?

Am I the only one that isn't that excited after seeing the first person video?

I hate playing in first person on MvA games personally

It depends. Some games I prefer the 3rd person view. It seems like I have better flow or I'm more aware of my surroundings. For me it's not about motion sickness or anything like that.

For example with MES I can only play with the 1st person view because I can't stand the 3rd person view. The rider looks goofy and the sliding around throws me off. That said between the two 3rd person views the one that's furthest away from the screen is more tolerable.

If you're not able to play with the 1st person view I say stay away from virtual reality or anything 3D like movies.

Not excited about the game or the first person view? Personally, I was never a fan of the first person view with the MX vs ATV series. I always prefered playing those games with the 3rd person view and it won't surprise me if it'll be the same thing with All Out. Not sure why that is. Maybe has to do with the rider/whips.

I was excited at one point, but the last few videos even in third person haven't really hit that spot with me. To me, everything looks really floaty. Almost like the bike isn't on the ground, but floating barely above it. I know we still have a month before it comes out and I really hope it gets addressed. I'll be waiting a little bit to get this so that I can read reviews from everyone. I made the mistake of buying MXvsATV Supercross and hated it! Waste of money for me. I don't want that same thing to happen again. Plus I'm really happy with MES right now!

I totally get the frustration with MX vs ATV Supercross/Encore. I played it for maybe 10-15 minutes and I couldn't stand it. That game is easily the worst game they've put out by far. I'm confident that All Out will not be anywhere close to that pile of crap.

New game is with the Unreal Engine, everything is new from the ground up but I can see what you mean about the bike being floaty but like any game video we won't really know how it is until we get our hands on it to see how it really "feels".

The game is still in development so I'm sure some things will be tweaked and like most developers there's more than likely going to have a patch update on day one or within the first week. I don't mind patches because it shows they want to improve the game and make things better for the community. Nothing worse than buying a game only for a developer to support it for a little while then say screw it, let's move on to the next thing.

I haven't played anything MX related since 2011 so needless to say I'm enjoying my time with MES and looking forward to playing All Out as well. When you can no longer ride, having good MX games is crucial to fill that void.

Anyone planning on getting the Dakar racing game? Might need its own thread.

Yeah thats why i havent pulled the trigger on MES.
I already know that in a few months (maybe weeks) milestone will stop caring and maybe put out MES SX18 for the start of the -19 sx season? I dont like the FIFA/NHL game type when you only pay for a re-skinned game from last year over and over again.

Pinned around corners which doesn't look great. I think if they shortened the width of the tracks it would help without any tweaks to the physics or engine.

This game isn't and never has been made to be a simulator. It makes arcade racing fun and have familiar, realistic bike movements and feeling.

Amazing suspension, the bike literally floats over the "whoops" Blink

People hating on the MES whoops must really like these whoops. Laughing They’re somehow even less existent.

they #hashtagged every bike manufacturer, i think it's safe to say that there will be official OEM bikes in the game?

#authenticitybro

and i could be reading into it, which i probably am, but they also hashtagged motocross, supercross, arenacross, and endurocross. hints to other racing modes in the game?

either way i'm very excited for this to come out

In a few of their Facebook post they said official OEM bikes will be available as dlc.

Not sure how to feel about the game at this point. Little to no rider response to the terrain. Flying through whoops like it's a platform isn't doing it for me.

OEM bikes will be available for download which I don't mind paying for. There's a lot of different game modes in All Out. MX, SX, FMX, Open World Environment, Waypoint Races, etc. Pretty sure there's more stuff too. Arenacross might be one of them and I think they're bringing back mini games like Tag.

Being able to customise the AI is a nice touch as well. That's a first for MX/SX games.

Personally I think All Out will be a great time and I'm looking forward to playing it.

You mean to tell me you don't fly through the MES whoops like they're not even there?

Edit: This is literally the only SX track we've seen thus far. 1 of probably 17. Who's to say all the tracks have the same whoops? Can't judge that at the moment. With MES we saw plenty of video's that showed really small whoops.

I haven't hit a good set of whoops in a while but I was actually pretty good at them. When I had a track at my house I build the biggest whoops I could with our backhoe and would hit them over and over again. One of my favorite obstacles on a track by far.

Thinking about it now they do freak me out a bit...but that's because it is so much harder to recover from crashing now than it was 5-10 years ago.

Looks exactly the same as every game they have put out, just pin it around the whole track and dont think about using your brakes.

I actually liked alive with the arenacross tracks pretending to be supercross tracks. You could change your rhythm to take different lines, huge whoops, and more realistic scaling.

I was talking about MES the game not real life lol.

The older you get the harder it is to recover from anything. It doesn't matter what it is. Getting older sucks lol.

Yea it sucks, I'm not even that old! Just didn't take good care of my body and all the old crashes/injuries are catching up with me!

I think the problem is its easy to watch these videos over and over and nit pick things you dont notice or pay attention to when youre actually playing the game.

good point. same as watching and picking apart the MES videos and then actually getting to play it yourself.

i made fun of the blind guy with one arm playing it, yet it took me a good few races to not look the same. i play 1st person so i very well may look like i don't know what i'm doing lol

Agreed. I really liked alive. Especially the little arenacross track and I loved the sx tracks at the js7 compound. I rode the clay track so many times at different speeds until I perfected the rhythm section before the start straight. I played MVA: Supercross for all of 15-20 minutes and couldn’t stand it. I’ve tried playing it since then and it was still horrible. I absolutely hated it after reflex and alive.

I’m going to wait until this is out for a while before I decide to buy it or not. I’m having way too much fun on MES right now. I like having to use my brakes and not being able to just launch every rhythm section in one hop. (I know, a little over dramatic but you all know what I mean).
