Hope they beefed up them front spokes then. Maybe waiting on a late shipment

I inquired with the boss over at DUBYA...I asked if he built the wheels...his answer:

Why not support him more? Give him a better chance of getting better results on a Husqvarna!

ROI at its simplest form. If Husky throws $100,000 at CR you think he will generate that back in bike sales? He is already riding the brand and advertising them for nothing.
It's all about landing the fill-in ride by round 5 after the factory guys start dropping like flies.

It happens every year...

I'm blown away Husky wouldn't just give him a handful of free bikes. Or just let him borrow the bikes for 5 months similar to how they lend a bike to some magazines. But I certainly don't know the inside details of his deals, perhaps he wanted a certain amount of $ in addition to the bikes, and both sides walked away from the deal.

Have you seen his new rig? Some guys in another post were saying this is what he needs. It's perfect for this small team, and 18 wheeler just isn't necessary. I think more teams could get away with this size.

There's a Dubya decal on the fork guard.

Would husky give him bikes and let him run kyb? Could that have been the deal breaker?

Reminds me of the first bike you get in MX vs ATV reflex. Either that or he ran out of time and had to slap some stickers he had laying around to get to the track in time.

KYB on a Husky is a match made in heaven. If those came stock a stock Husky would be better than some factory bikes from 5 yrs ago.

It's insane that they don't support him. Husqvarna has one team and that is the factory team, to not even supply bikes to one of the biggest stars in our sport is just baffling.
JMC motorsports is a new Husqvarna team.

my guess is that Reed probably could have made a deal with Husky, but by doing that he would be committed for the year. By buying his own bike leaves him the option of getting hired as a fill in rider if/when someone gets hurt. Remember he is a business man. I'm sure he weighed his options of which would be best for him over the series. Some free bikes and run top 20 or hold out and land factory ride in the top 10.

Ridiculous that Husky doesn't want to support this guy. Reed is full on OG status, teams should be lining up to help him.

I like it. 2 colors pretty much, clean and simple...

Also very refreshing to see a bike that isn't equipped with a Monster claw, red bull logo or rockstar star.

Interesting that Reed said his Husky is 20+ pounds lighter than his last years bike (Factory Yamaha 450). That's believable if we're talking stock for stock, but factory vs stock? (Reeds Husky isn't stock obviously, but stock weight is close to AMA limit i believe) Yamaha doesn't do anything to make their factory 450's lighter at all? I know for sure Honda does, I remember someone on the Factory Honda team claiming Canard's Honda 450 was 6 pounds lighter than his Geico Honda 250. As for the other brands i'm not sure, but i'd bet they're close to the AMA weight limit as well.
