Jeff, I think you're referencing the Washougal National in 2013 and I don't recall you being in that meeting, nor do I know which of them "lost there job" for asking anything. But it was a team owner that asked that we look into the rumors in the paddock of people using PEDs, and lots has happened since then in Lucas Oil Pro Motocross.

Since the adoption of our USADA anti-doping testing and related educational programs, dozens of riders have been selected for both blood and urine testing by USADA, including EVERY top rider in both professional motocross classes. During this period, there have been zero failures. The testing is complicated and expensive. MX Sports Pro Racing assumes 100% of all testing costs as an investment in our sport to be able to proudly report to the world that the playing field of our sport is level and our athletes are clean.

During this period since the time when USADA assumed the responsibility to conduct Anti-Doping testing for the sport of AMA Pro Motocross, MX Sports Pro Racing has established a continuing anti-doping educational program that provides annual one-on-one anti-doping counseling for individual riders and trainers, annual education seminars offered to all riders, personal assistance for riders with questions regarding Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), on-line resources and an annual "new riders" seminar for future pro riders at Loretta Lynn's.

I know that you have not raced an outdoor national since the 2012 Lake Elsinore 450 National, so you probably haven't been privy to all that's been happening in our series that is drug-testing related, but I assure you a lot has happened since that fateful weekend at Washougal.

Kinda interesting how you think you know which race he's referring to.....
So what happened in 2013 that we don't know about?

Look at Lance Armstrong, that guy was tested and tested for the better part of 10 years and never got popped. It took almost another 5 years before it finally came out that he was using PEDs. I am not naive enough to think that current tests are infallible and that there is no product on the market that would give a negative result. I'd like to think its not happening but I would not be surprised if it was. You would have to have to be in complete denial or a promoter (sorry DC) to say and think its not going on in some form.

All that being said, if in a couple years down the road a top pro admitted to using, I wouldn't be surprised. Disappointed but not surprised.

Why do I need to offer proof? You're the one throwing accusations, the burden if proof is on you. And you may want to look up the word slander, because if RC (or any other person who's been accused in this thread) got a hair up his ass and decide to bring in their lawyer, "I was just stating my opinion" will float about as well as the Titanic. Good luck keeping that ball. Have the best day ever.

RonJon, we're doing the best we can to prevent and police PED usage, but you are right -- somehow, someway, someone is going to try to skirt the rules. But we've contracted with the best group we could find and we're doing as much as we can to deter anyone from cheating.

It’s obvious what’s really going on here. GuyB is using all that payroll money he’s saving from oscottie and is paying Jeff to get the site more clicks. Genius.

Is blood doping really that expensive though ?
All you need is a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells then re-inject. If anyone knows the science to it, its the coaches and trainers on the cycling side of things ?

What is the RBC max for WADA ? These guys could probably just top up to the limit ?

I read through the first 5 pages of this and then skipped to the end... but personally my thoughts, while probably not popular, I say let these athletes use to a point. I think USADA is freaking joke and they doping agencies need to loosen the rings a bit.

I would be doping too if I was a pro rider or pro anything. The amount of damage they are doing to their bodies training, riding, injuries, etc.... its only natural that they need to have something for recovery and longevity. Trying to keep up with a 16 round SX series with only 1 break is complete BS. I don't blame them at all for trying to get the most they can out of their bodies.

A local pro who raced SX back in the mid 2000's once told me that most if not everyone was on something, even him has a privateer was taking PED's , etc.... to keep up with the demands of the sport. Eating clean and training correctly plays a big part of it but when you do it every single day, pound out motos daily, etc.... that doesn't cut it anymore.

I'm guessing there are quite a few Vet guys using testosterone, err I mean Testosterone Replacement Therapy. Trenbolone isn't something you should be messing around with. If you've got the money Humane Growth Hormone HGH micro-dosing, not like bodybuilder amounts, is the fountain of youth. EPO can be risky (and it's expensive) but having more red blood cells floating around is an instant boost to your endurance. Testosterone is enough for muscle development and strength improvements for most riders.

Oh, and it's already been mentioned factory riders aren't paying trainers bags full of money to watch them do cardio, lift weights, and ride around a track all day. They pay them to make sure they don't get caught using performance enhancing drugs.

Also not that dangerous at all, despite the stories going around, most of them are actually untrue and unfounded.
HGH is fairly cheap but you need a fair amount to get the process started and that where it becomes alittle costly.
You don't need to micro dose HGH. Infact no one does.
Where is this cheap HGH? I’d love to run a few iu’d a day without spending a mortgage payment! Lol

And nobody is getting IV fluids in their motorhome between motos.

Not that anyone would know cause no testing/enforcement agency is allowed to enter a rider's motorhome without permission.

You mentioned assistance for riders with questions regarding Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs). Can you share with us how many riders, if any, have filed for a TUE?

It’s a lot and I mean a lot more detailed than seperation and infusion. You need to a store it correctly for starters.

If you asking what the cell max count is, then it makes sense about how much you don’t know transfusions and the complete science behind it. You get it wrong, even storing it and you re-infuse you can die. Simple as that. Also you mention what is the top up limit? Now days too ahletesisi g this method are doing 150-300cc’s, this way it doesn’t send of flags on their biological passport. Before during the Ben
Johnson / Lance era about 500cc.

You also can’t smash a bag before every national weekly, you will A - be “sick” as you are the day of the transfusion and sometimes the next day day also. THen also you will show a positive due to the cell count from so many transfusions. They also only last a short period.

Blood transfusions have no direct test and majority of the tests rely on changes in erythropoiesis-sensitive blood markers. The most common is a test that focuses on the sensitivity/specificity ratio are the Hbmr model (an algorithm based on the total amount of circulating hemoglobin level [hemoglobin level mass] and percentage of reticulocytes.

Just cause someone has a cycling background doesn’t mean they know about seperation, treatment and transfusions and the funny part is, cycling is actually a lot cleaner than 90% of the sports out there. Soccer, rugby, athletics(oh my f is that dirty) do you know golf had a 4:1 positive ratio in terms of testing? Cycling is about 200 odd to 1.

Ffs, have ammo in the gym before you shoot from the hip.

WADA would not make that information known. Only the athlete or their representation can do that.

They are if they have you down for testing and if you don’t allow them in or provide a sample when you have been chosen it is deemed a positive test.

Law enforcement I can’t comment

In all do respect I saw your post and didn't feel the need to read, you were sitting at that managers meeting with other team managers pointing to the problem asking you why your turning a blind eye protecting them. So your in as this problem as much as the actual racers cheating. Here's a little wake up call, I have proof n I'm going to be posting it. Because this is a problem that IS HAPPENING! And now JA can "fight" for his industry. Looks to me like every prudent responsible step is being taken to deal with the PED issue. Then we have JA post some unsupported conspiracy theories. The testing procedures are open, transparent and available for everyone to see, the conspiracy theory, well not much there other than a vacuum. I'd seriously hoped that JA had matured and we were done with these antics.

The only thought that comes to mind is "Not this shit again...."

Huh man, now you’re letting them build a defense. Shoulda just popped em by surprise and then talked about the scandal on vital later....

And on the other side, I don’t think he cares about an industry job monte....he might just care about people? Can’t dig him for that. I don’t like the Alessi’s but he’s talking a tall game. And what if....it was true and this really is a PED baked brush under the rug scandal ??

Who knows ! I’m still skeptical. Will check back for more chum in 4 pages.

Hard to hold the moral high ground on racing ethics when you've tried to point a laser into a competitor's eyes while he's on the starting line.

This thread is priceless! Who starts commenting in public that they know something and they are going to expose it and the people involved but doesn't deliver it straight away? If you were a newspaper teasing it to sell papers I'd get it, but you aren't Jeff.

If you have something concrete then deliver it, but think VERY carefully before you do that. If you deliver it and it doesn't turn out to be facts you can ruin the lives and reputations of innocent people.

Going on here and attempting to tease people with it is losing you credibility fast and the campaign you are on to clean up the sport will lose credibility with it.
